Fantastic film that all Gen-Xers can relate to. Also, from a female perpective, you can't help noticing how attractive Ethan Hawke is in this film!! I stole the answering machine message that is played at the end of the film (it has played on my machine for almost ten years and still gets people's interesting replies) and many of the one-liners from this film were brilliant! "You look like a doily" - classic!
I've heard this movie is a "cult movie", how "real" the movie is. I struggled to watch it. Just seemed like a bunch of lazy kids, smoking pot and making a video. I like the soundtrack though, had a few Crowded House songs - I'm a big fan.
Absoutely one of the best films of all time. Charming, intelligent, emotive and honest. And a fantastic soundtrack
Wow - I never got to see this when it first came out. It so typifies the feeling of a twenty-something Gen-Xer that I'm shocked at how close it cuts home. I loved it.
I thought Reality Bites was great when it was released, I was 16. I have now aged, along with the movie, and I just didn't feel the same way as when I first saw it.
This was a good movie. Worth Watching.
An interesting and absorbing movie which you can really appreciate after seeing a couple of times
