great movie for the younger and older kids

An enjoyable entertaining movie for the whole family.

Great movie, even with the rock who is b grade. The whole family loved it.

I was very surprised with this movie. It was really good. The kids enjoyed but my wife and I also enjoyed it. It was fun.

Just Ok, more for younger children rather than teenagers. Movie played up alot towards end so couldn't see the ending properly.

Good action sci-fi picture.

Poor acting from the "kids" (who were both teenagers when it was filmed) throughout the movie, and some scenes with bad performances from Johnson also, makes for a rather dull watch. A lot of the movie is filled full of the teens with their mouths hanging open, trying to look scared or shocked while breathing heavily. Otherwise, the sci-fi CGI is good, with bright, cool explosions, and a couple of neat-looking UFOs. The car chase scenes are fun, and these parts are where the movie shines (where no real acting is required). The dog does a good job in his role as the dog - there should have been more of him!

I really enjoyed this movie it was interesting and different. It was funny to a certain extent but overall good.

Decent fun, faced paced family movie. Nothing original (variation on Starman and ET plot), but suprised that Dwayne Johnson did a half decent job (thought he would ham it up but he didn't). Worth the watch (particularly for the 7 - 12 year olds)

Good action family movie and Dwayne Johnson is great, as usual. Ending was a bit too emotional and we also had trouble with the DVD stopping and starting in the middle but it didn't affect the story-line.

I'm sure some kids will enjoy it.

Fun to watch movie with the kids. A little comedy in it for the oldies. It beats watching a cartoon with them. The rock is a great actor.

Most of the action happens in the dark so it is very hard to follow what is actually going on. Good story line and the kids enjoyed it ... what they could see anyway.

enjoyed the movie but had trouble with the disc as it stopped a few times and was difficult to get past these sections

Good family film. Definately a kids film but still enjoyable for adults. The young boy actor is annoying though.

Great Alien Action Movie

6 yr old boy and 7 yr old girl LOVED IT. Watched it every night for the 7 days we had it. A good kids thriller!

A great kids movie. Plenty of action and suspense with the sci-fi aspect. A little juvenile at times but something you can watch with the kids, 10 and up. Its not ET but good fun.

A reasonable family movie from Disney, as you would hope. The Rock does a good job, and it's pleasing to see him doing these sort of fun movies rather than going down the Vin Diesel 'Pacifier' path. The kids are really good in it as well, but the government response is a bit cliched. Lots of excitement and would be good for the kids around 10 to 14.

This is a great family movie. I thought it would be another "kids" movie and the parents have to sit thru it painfully, boy was I wrong. I watched this movie several times with my children. I will borrow this one again.

Parents, this movie is very PG - my 8-year old daughter did not understand the story and I had to explain it all to her. Having said that, we really liked it. It's an awfully well-done "aliens getting back to their crashed spaceship" story and mums, you'll appreciate The Rock being in it. Not for kids who would be scared of aliens or lots of army guys using guns. If your kids can handle it, its a very very good movie. "at the start i did't understand but then on i knew more and more.I really liked when they got back home at the end.i also liked the two kids.at the end i really thought the spaceship was really awesome the way it flew" (from Caitlin)

Good fun, kids really liked it. Dwayne Johnson is appealing.

Great movie!! Awesome storyline for kids and adults.. even my dad who is in his 50's was intrigued..

Based on the 1970s movie and book by Alexander Key. I was so disappointed with this movie. It doesn't follow the original story at all (as did the 1970s film). The 'witch' children in this new version are emotionally neutral (almost stilted) beings rather than the peaceful, emotionally evolved children who are only discovering what their special powers mean. This distorts the meaning of the story from an wonderful adventure / mystery to an action film. If you want a good kids action film I would suggest Spy Kids. If you want to watch the magic of witch mountain rent the original 1970s film!!!!

Great family movie. Good acting all around, usual story but with enough effects and comedy to make it entertaining. Dwayne Johnson is great in comedy and working with kids

Everything you expect from a Walt Disney movie.

Loved it a great movie for both adults and children with lots of adventure and fun

Either being a big fan of Dwayne Johnson or a young child will help you enjoy this movie...and as you can probably tell by now, I'm the former. It won't blow your minds but it has some pretty cool effects and it is well cast. The story is nothing new but is nonetheless exciting to watch. Knowing it's a Disney film though, you know you can expect a happy ending.

I was unable to rate this movie as I was unable to watch all off the movie as it froze half way through the movie and I wasn't able to see the end of it.I was disappointed that I couldn't see the end of it as it seemed like it was going to be a good movie,but I guess I will never know.

This is a great family movie. It not a brilliant movie by all mean but for all the family to sit around and enjoy, it meets it target. The acting is average, however the action is fun and a bit over the top. It a typical Disney movie good family fun.

We had no idea what to expect with this move and I have never enjoyed "the rock" in any movie before but not only did he do a good job but the rest of the cast were fantastic. A well thought out movie which I could watch again and again

This movie was alright.. It has some really good affects in it. The main characters are very likeable my 3 1/2 year old enjoyed the movie very much. It is based for a younger audience I think, but I did enyoy it just not as much as I thought I might...... yes i would still recommend seeing this movie because it has got a good storyline........
