Q Planes - Prototype British planes are mysteriously disappearing on their test flights and Major Hammond of Scotland Yard is called in to investigate. After overcoming his initial alienation from the group he teams up with ace pilot Tony McVane to try to solve the mystery. The problem is still unsolved when Tony goes up on a test flight and is brought down over the Atlantic by a ship. When taken aboard as a captive he discovers the other missing airmen and attempts to devise a way for them to escape.

The Divorce of Lady X - Laurence Olivier plays Logan, a divorce lawyer stranded by fog in an already overcrowded hotel. A beautiful woman called Leslie commandeers his bedroom relegating him to the sofa eating his breakfast and sneaking off leaving only a note: 'Goodbye Lady X'. She bumps into him later that day and overhears him make some disparaging remarks about women in a divorce case. So Leslie 'Lady X' decides to teach him a lesson and sets him up to realise the error in his ways.
