For the young inhabitants of a French coastal town ravaged by the economic crisis, the passage to adulthood is uncertain. With little prospects for work the young drift about in an aimless search of love, romance and companionship. The spectacularly beautiful Alice is frightened to break free of the disciplinarian hold of her conservative parents who she still lives with. She conducts a secret affair with Matt, who works as a mechanic at a local garage on the brink of going bust. Meanwhile best pals Chance and Alex have turned to vandalism and petty crime as they struggle to make ends meet on a fishing boat. A married couple with a penchant for perverse games have become foreign to each other. They yearn for inspiration. However, the lives of each of these disparate characters are soon changed by an encounter or liaison with Cècille, a young woman whose sexual appetite and lust for experiences of the flesh belies a deeper sadness. Q explores the ennui and eroticism of this village, where the banal and beautiful coexist and where sex is perhaps the only true escape.

An interesting French artsy movie young sex from a Woman's view! There is nudity, both female and male, male being slightly more explicit (erection and ejaculation close-up). So best to keep this away from the kiddies. We always see movies about sex from the mans view but rarely the women's, in fact I was surprised is wasn't banned in Aust for offending the feminazi's.

Very choppy direction and cinematography with under-developed characters and overall storyline. Yes, some very attractive actors, but not worth the suffering of the movie. Try "The Swimming Pool" for something much better.

French porn movie! This is no extreme cinema, it is pure garbage from France. No storyline, just youngsters and sex. No comparison with the work of Takashi Miike. Can't believe people can give 3 to 5 stars for this trash.

Not a great plot but certainly worth watching for those young, beautiful french females. Soft and not so soft porn, disguised as a movie.

We liked this movie but very different and nothing short of a soft porn. I think it slipped through the radar when being classified. Very explicit sex scenes.
