This is Woody Allen -- although he didn't appear on the screen, but every bit of the film shows his imagination, insight and wit. After a quarter of a century, Woody Allen still tells the story of people trying to get out of their dull life by walking pass the line of illusion and reality, in "MIDNIGHT IN PARIS" (2011). In terms of incorporating black and white movies' style and element, "THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO" fares better than 2011's Oscar champion "THE ARTIST." Don't miss this if you like bittersweet dramas.
