Set in medieval Persia, this is the story of an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world. Which is why after the prince was tricked by a dying Vizier to unleash the Sands of Time that turns out to destroy a kingdom and transforms its populace into ferocious demons. In his effort to save his own kingdom and redeem his fatal mistake, it's up to the prince and the princess to return the sands to the hourglass by using the Dagger of Time, which also gives him a limited control over the flow of time.

Whilst it is along the same lines of the scorpion king ( and not quite in the same league as The Mummy), I found this movie to be pretty good. Jake Gyllenhal is easy on the eys too lol! Worth a watch.

All round very good movie, only thing lacking to me was bit on the story line. Wouldn't have hurt to have actually shown the hardships Dustan went through as an Orphan living on the streets to help the audience really feel for the character's plight.

The fake British accents, the "PG" stylised action scenes and the absolute lack of character development, all make this quite possibly the worst movie I have seen this year. I was a fan of the computer game in my younger days and held out high hopes. Unfortunately, it was like watching a re-run of the TV-show “Hercules” or “Xena, Warrior Princess”. 111 minutes I will not get back. Avoid it at all costs.

This was a great movie! I remember playing the computer game many years ago and it was pretty cool to see it come to life. I thought Jake played the part well - wasn't so fussed with the main female actor - its got good visual effects, humour, a little predictability and overall I would probably buy this one to add to the collection. If you like The Mummy, Aladdin, Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider - you might just like this one too!

Harmless, Disney fun. Jake looks like he's having fun, which is entertaining. Wondered in a few scenes if the creators at Disney weren't trying to create another franchise like the Pirates of the Carribean.

A fun movie. I like the link between the computer game character and the movie. Certainly not a movie of deep concepts or themes, but if your in the mood for old fashioned, pantomime hero and villains characters this movie is for you.
