Predators (2010)

thought it was a great way to pass a couple of hours,very similar premise to the original,but still very well made and exciting

I watched this movie to the end without a coffee break. Surprisingly good plot and excellent ending, with great special effects throughout. Once is enough. I won't watch the inevitable sequel.

This seemed like such a copy of the original. Also it dragged out. Dialogue and acting were bad.

Predators is a great sequel to the original 2 Predators, before Alien vs Predators, yet it has the same type of storyline as the 1st Alien vs Predator, where it is all based on the Hunt for Worthy and Honorable Fighters. This time, it does not take place on Earth. Several people, from different races, and different types of Fighting backgrounds, like someone from the Army, a Mercenary, a Traditional Yakuza Fighter and a few others, are suddenly woken up falling from the sky, they all land as parachutes open up, but these people don't know each other, Predators is a great sequel to the original 2 Predators, before Alien vs. Predators, yet it has the same type of storyline as the 1st Alien vs. Predator, where it is all based on the Hunt for Worthy and Honourable Fighters. This time, it does not take place on Earth. Several people, from different races, and different types of Fighting backgrounds, like someone from the Army, a Mercenary, a Traditional Yakuza Fighter and a few others, are suddenly woken up falling from the sky, they all land as parachutes open up, but these people don't know each other, and some have fought against the other, but this very strange situation they find themselves in, will make them work together as a team. They find themselves on an Alien planet with only the weapons they normally use and try to find a way off the planet, but they have n idea they are there to be hunted down. When they realize, they find 3 types of enemies. The Predators, the alien dog or wolfish kind of killers and a onetime appearance of another alien that could have been part of the previous hunt's that was left. You also learn about 2 different Predator races, which is a smaller version and a Larger type and you will learn about their type of a command structure. This is an excellent movie and I am giving it a 5/5, you get to learn a lot more about the Predator race and I believe, that learning about the Predators race and their type of a hire-achy, then that alone is worthwhile to watch for any Predator Movie fan.

The first time I watched it I was disappointed. The second time I watched it I just appreciated it's awesomeness. Everything you could want from a sequel to one of the best action/sci-fi films of our time.

I feel a second movie is in the wings and I can hardly wait. What a great movie

Cool not as bad as I thought it'd be

I was not really impressed with this movie, not the usual Alien movie I expected.

Another predator vs Alien type movie. Ok special effects but nothing very special about the whole movie. Only three stars for this one

Soft core version of the preditor which I would probably put on for the kids to watch after school. I guess this is one movie that's just been done to death, because there was nothing new to add and it ranked as the worst of all the preditor movies. C-

Who didn't love the first predator? That guy has been an icon in my life since the day I first watched it. Predator can kick Alien's ass any day! So when Predators was announced, I was ecstatic. The movie was great; there should have been a lot more Predator action, but nonetheless a great sequel!

I didn't actually realise that this movie was "attached" to the original "Predators" until it started, and I got worried that it was going to be a re-hashing of old ideas etc, just relying on the great looks of the creatures themselves and some scare tactics. The movie was actually quite good - a good story-line with a twist on a long forgotten concept/ idea from an earlier Predators movie.... about setting up a hunt. Reasonably good performances by the cast and a nice (unexpected) role by Laurence Fishburne. Left open for a follow-up movie, though I hope it doesn't get dragged beyond THAT one..... then, just come up with another idea again. I enjoyed this quite a lot and enjoyed the handful of "jumps" it got out of me (my fault for watching it in bed on widescreen laptop with great surround-sound headphones !)

great comeback to the predator collection

Bit too much Adrien Brody for me, otherwise decent action adventure.

After seeing the original I was very dissappointed. Didn't like Adrian Brody in it. Wrong part for him and a bit dull. Nobody could top the original even to this day.

Better then expected, Predators wisely ignore the chain of sequels that followed the original Predator. The cast is great, the action unrelenting, the violence extreme, and the fun plenty. Only a rather odd cameo from Lawrence Fishburn disrupts the flow of the movie. It injects an overall break fro the action, and is a somewhat pointless exercise. I wonder if this movie will start its own chain of sequels? Predators2 Aliens vs PredatorS?

Hmmm, better than Predator 2, but still very similar to Predator 1 in story line. I liked this movie though and hope it isn;t the end of this franchise.

As far as Predator movies go, this one wasn't too bad. Good actors, good story, bit disappointed that Lawrence Fishburne's character didn't really do anything "amazing", but not a bad popcorn flick if you turn your brain off and go with it.

Definitely, bottom shelf. No other word for it. Not recommended

Better than expected for a follow on movie. Different characters with some repeated style but surprisingly a good competitor with the first Predator movie. For general fiction, sci-fi entertainment value it has what most look for. In any award stakes of course its a different assessment and would not pull top marks. Wanting to just sit down and movie out.... it will satisfy.

was ok cant beat the original, but i guess was ok

Went in wanting to like it, and came out wanting more, not in the way you never want a good book to end but more in the way a trip to Maccas can leave you unsatisfied. That sounds harsh but remember it's not the taste of the burger it's more that there's not enough substance all sugar and carbs, throw some real bacon on it and beetroot an egg and real meat and you got a meal.

I wouldnt watch it again if it were playing in my glasses! A good idea for a story but thats as far as it got - an idea. The story doesnt give you any explanation for why any of them were there, who put them there and yep what did the Dr have to do with it? The actors seemed to be going through the motions rather than actually acting. Overall it was very poor in my opinion but you may like it so give it a watch if you are a fan of the Predator movies.

very predictable, because we have seen the other predator movies... the only question I had through the whole movie (why didn't the characters??) is why the dr was there? aqll the other were asked except him. To many gaps in the story.... could have been another 20 min longer to fill in thegaps... Action and sci-fi theme were good (but predictable) also to many loose ends at the end (how they get of the planet? why/who put them there? what this a prequel?etc.. ) it was anopen ending so I am sure there will be sequel.. Worth watching... Once

Dud. One star for Adrien Brody.

Defiantly the best thing about it is its acting the main is very good the only one that took their role seriously, still don’t know if that a good thing or a bad thing. Lots of actors that you don’t know their names but you know their faces. Effects are bad the CGI is very fake and the blood is also very bad. The storyline has big gaps and doesn’t really explain much, if it did it would have been passable. This is probably about as good as the original but it doesn’t have any cheesy one liners that I miss in movies now days.

Adrien Brody in an unusual part. Good support cast. Great creatures. It was entertaining and while it didn't give us anything new, it generally, with a couple of inexplicable exceptions, had all its bits in the right places. I liked the simplicity and the fact that there was less overkill with CGI. Rodriguez produced it - I think if he had directed it, it would have been better. FYI: I quite liked some of the other Predator movies - including the Alien Vs Predator ones. In fact I'd happily watch Predator 2 or Alien vs. Predator any day over some of the later Alien Francise. The Requiem one though, that was bad. I have no idea what the makers were thinking.

This movie left me wanting more. There should have been more storyline made of why the predators and humans were dumped on the planet in the first place (who did it and why?), should have been more Predators and more of the characters. Made me nostalgic for Arnie's cheesy oneliners!

I actually found this quite disappointing compared to expectations. An okay film, nothing horrible about it. Just nothing terribly exciting about it either.

love all predator movies, this one no exception

I reckon better than Arnie, it's a tough call, but, I think it just tops Predator 1. Love the concept! However, you can't beat Arnie's style... Maybe number one is still the best. You choose... or die! Are you GAME?

What to write in this review...simple. Don't bother! They really need to stop these movies now. They are getting ridiculous.
