A new generation of Power Rangers must master the ancient Symbols of Samurai Power which give them control over the elements of Fire, Water, Sky, Forest and Earth. Under the guidance of their all-knowing mentor and with the aid of their devoted animal Zords, they battle the dark forces of the Netherworld and a mysterious warrior bent on destruction.

When the evil Master Xandred finds a way to escape his dark prison by ship on the evil Sanzu River in the etherworld, the modern day Samurai Power Rangers are called into action. Xandred has discovered that by ncreasing pain and suffering in our world, he can fill the Sanzu River with human tears until it floods the earth. Only the brave Samurai Rangers led by the iconic Red Ranger stand between us and destruction.
