The DVD stopped many times after about half an hour to the point it became unwatchable, so unfortunately I couldn't watch this movie. Very frustrating.

This is a great sequel to 'Curse of the Black Pearl'. The action sequences are amazing as well as the special effects. The plot moves along nicely and is never slow or boring. Acting of course is excellent as is the musical score. In typical 'Pirates' fashion we are left with an open ending as the hunt for Jack ensues. If you were a fan of the first film you will no doubt love this. I gave this 4/5.

I love this movie, its adventure, fun, great imagination used in the plot. A real escape adventure tale, great acting, stunts, and action packed. Johnny Depp really shines in this character. I can watch this one over and over again and still pick up new things each time.

Okay, so you're wondering how on earth you can stretch the Pirates of the Caribbean beyond what happened in the first movie?
Come on, they're Pirates from ages past! Savvy? After all, we are talking about one Jack Sparrow, a feisty Elizabeth Swan and one honourable\dishonourable William Turner.
Oh yes, money being the root of all evil and that along with power and ruling the high seas, so spice it up with a pinch of love triangle, deceit and a trio of twists and turns and you have the makings of a sequel.
Might I add this is actually one of the more successful sequel films. Johnny Depp as always really fits into the swaggering role of a pirate that well appears to be hopeless yet reality is he exceptionally - to quote him - savvy.
All the Pirates movies are a good family watch.

While the first Pirates of the Carribean was a top notch film, this sequel is very disappointing. 20 minutes into the movie you realise that the story plot has been setup for another sequel. Which is fine but this story line has not closure on it's own and not really worth watching as a one off. Still Johnny Depp is the life saver of the movie in his role as Captain Jack Sparrow. Sorry but I'm over Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom. Sure they are both pretty to look at, but concentrate on the acting a bit more as we all know that you are capable of.

It's almost like a spoof rather than an adventure, though it's always lovely to spend a couple of hours with Johnny Depp and the monsters are amazingly gross and well done ... but almost comical. Didn't have the same story impact as the first one, but it is still a beautifully shot movie.

We sat as a family together in front of the TV to watch this DVD and were thoroughly pleased with the entertainment given. It's laugh out loud funny at times, the graphics and imagery given were superb and the casting ideal except for the female lead. Perhaps the third movie a shark might take her ?!!?! Well worth getting and watching several times. Personally, we're going to buy our own copy and keep it with the first to watch over and over again. Happy viewing!
