Things look bright when a kind lighthouse keeper, Nora (Helen Reddy), and her father (the legendary Mickey Rooney) take in Pete and Elliott, but Elliott's pranks land Pete in trouble with the townsfolk. Then, when crooked salesmen try to capture Elliott, it's up to Pete to rescue his magical friend - and in the process he discovers the real meaning of friendship and family. Filled with Oscar-nominated songs, splendid storytelling and gigantic fun - you'll love watching this Disney Classic again and again!

Doesn't flow 'interestingly' enough. Too much 'bad' singing with horrible lyrics. Might have been ok in it's time but wouldn't recommend it as a good 'kids' movie now.

I used to watch this all the time when I was young, but I struggled to sit through it last night. Thought it would be fun to revisit, but I guess i had forgotten it was a musical. I love Elliott though.

Even though the animation is old technology my 4yo still loved the whole fantasy idea of having your own dragon.
