Hmmm a very contrived bit of slow motion cinema... simply unbelievable relationships made even more thread-bare by a weak script... "pretty" actors

Stylistically inventive if somewhat mundane look at dispossessed youth. Worth a look for those who enjoy something from left field. 3.5 stars.

I loved this movie. Fantastic to see something completely different from the Hollywood formulaic movies. I thought it really captured those intense feelings of alienation and confusion and also shows the lovely freedom of movement and thought while skateboarding. If you aren't addicted to Hollywood pap I would strongly recommend it.

Paranoid Park is a visually beautiful film with the dream-like cinematography characteristic of Gus Van Sant. The film explores the experience of adolescence and of senseless tragedy, returning to the themes of Van Sant's earlier film, Elephant. The story is told non-chronologically, the dialogue is sparse, and the "action" within each scene looks as though it is taking place in real-time (i.e. it is very slow). Apparently, Elephant was filmed in actual real-time. In my opinion, this is not as strong a film as Elephant, though it is still well worth watching.

Yeah, found it hard to sit still and watch, a bit slow and confusing at the start but it picks up a little. Could have had a bit more in it, but it was ok!

Very Gus Van Sant. Yet another distressing movie that i hated but my partner loved. Only thing i liked about it was that it made me really think about my supposedly small inconsequential actions.
