Pandorum (2009)

Definitely worth a watch but you have to be set up in a darkened room so you can see everything. Interesting story, some good acting and some real scarey moments. Some things strain the suspension of disbelief, but ok overall.

why are you now sending me all the rubbish and not the movies i really want!!

This is a bad movie. It also struck me as an Alien wannabe, and yes a lot of the movie was shot in the dark and was almost impossible to see. I am a fan of Ben Foster and Dennis Quaid but dunno what possessed either of them to do this turkey. A complete waste of time.

Reading the reviews here, I was expecting a top notch movie and what I got is a silly film happening most of the time in the dark, an ALIEN rip off with bad special effects and average acting. Don't waste your time, this movie copies others that was made in the genre.

One of the best sci-fi movies I saw in the last few years. Fresh concept. Lots of action. Ran and bought the dvd.

Decent Space Movie, which is rare because most of them suck.

Don't read the reviews if you don't want to have the plot spelt out (no offence to other members). This was scarier than expected. The storyline was clever. I liked the ending. With other reviewers I would have liked more detail as to why they got to the awful predicament they did and I liked having no clues until they were revealed.

Dennis Quad is good. Bit heavy for me, dark, horrifying alien story.

What a surprise this movie was! It had all the right elements to make a great movie - good script, acting and interesting content with a surprise ending. Surprised I had never heard of it before.

A surprisingly good movie. I was expecting a straight-to-DVD quality flick, but was pleasantly surprised by the story, the acting and the general feel. There are some genuinely creepy moments.

A pair of crew members aboard a spaceship wake up with no knowledge of their mission or their identities. Hard to review because it had some great moments intertwined with some ridiculous offerings. Best to judge for yourself

I really liked this movie. There were the down points, some parts were hard to hear and it was quite dark but it all added to the atmosphere. andie5 had it wrong, it is NOT a typical alien-takes-over-the-ship-while-the-crew-are-sleeping film, furthest from that. Its creepy psycho lets out the crew and puts the ship on a crash trajectory while making sure everyone wakes up 800yrs too late and in the meantime the crew has been cuddling up to the nuclear reactor and evolving into weird electricity carrying things that have been eating the passengers still in hypersleep. Good movie with decent effects. Hopefully there's a second and/or third

As opposed to other reviews of this movie, I thought it was reasonable. I would have preferred more explaination of how things got into the state that they did without having to resort to watcher guessing. However the end has a nice twist and made my assessment of this movie rate higher. As always, time spent on blood, gore and fighting was at the expense of story telling.

Oh Hum, gee I like Quaid, but this was garbage, why would he take it on? Desperate?

Very entertaining. I wish they had spent a little more time on the story of the settlers rather than on fighting the creatures.

Don't bother....poor acting....bad storyline.....a waste of time and money!

Spooky sci-fi thriller. Watch it with the lights on.

RUBBISH!

Pandorum may well become a classic Sci-Fi tale. An original story that will keep your attention right to the end, albeit with some fairly graphic horror along the way, which is integral to the plot (not just gore for the sake of gore). Highly recommended, particularly for true Sci-Fi lovers.

Awesome horror.sci fi takes the best ideas from Alien and Event Horizon and creates a few of their own is about a 2 man crew who wakes up in space but cant remember anything but soon finds out they are not alone. The acting is top notich with all performing well and the direction starts out nice and easy but throws in some interesting twists half way in when the film appears to run out of ideas. The effects are brill and theres some exciting karate style fights with plenty of blood and gore for the fans as its quite graphic in places. My only gripe is they set up for 3 films but alas since this didnt score well they might never happen but its an awesome alterntive to Alien and Horror, sci fi and action fans should be pleased as theres something for everyone here. Well worth the rental and viewing.
