Vin Diesel stars in The Pacifier in which he plays Navy SEAL, Shane Wolfe. As a member of the world’s most highly trained force, he’s a guy who lives for danger, but not everything always goes as planned even for men like Wolfe. During an assignment to rescue an American scientist from his captors, he is surprised by an attack in which the scientist is killed.

The scientist was working on vital government secrets, which, it seems, have been hidden somewhere in the house where his family lives – and the enemy knows it. Wolfe’s latest mission is to protect the scientist’s kids from the forces of evil.

While keeping the bad guys at bay, he also has to face the equally challenging task of looking after a rebellious teen, Zoe (Brittany Snow), a sullen 14-year-old, Seth (Max Theriot), an 8-year-old Ninja wanna-be, Lulu (Morgan York) and 3-year-old Peter and baby, Tyler. The danger zone also includes Helga (Carol Kane) a weird Romanian Nanny who leaves in a huff because of the kids’ bad behaviour. With their mother, Julie (Faith Ford) also out of the picture when she is called to Switzerland, Wolfe finds himself taking sole charge of the kids and facing a domestic disaster. For the first time, he’s a SEAL who is feeling the heat and way out of his depth.

Very silly, but a reasonably harmless kids film. Brad Garrett is probably the best thing about it.

Wasn't very good acting. What has he been reduced to... an action movie star to kids movies with a little action.

I am a big Vin Diesel fan but this movie is very much a teenager or childs movie to enjoy which there were some funny parts but not something a adult can really sit and enjoy. The story line is good and some of the action parts are quite impressive but over all not a film i would watch again or purchase.

Quite strange to see Vin doing a comedy after xXx, but he is very good and believeable, showing him to be a very versatile actor. The story is brilliant, and its a good laugh through most of the film. Not to be missed that is for sure. Carrying the baby bottles like this would help my friend with her tribe! haha.

You have to be a Vin Diesel fan for this one but maybe even if you're not it's worth a watch. Nice to see the soft side of this tough guy.

Unfunny, predictable, poorly acted drivel. It's not often you see a "comedy" and think that Arnold Schwarzenegger could do a better job, but this bland remix of "Uncle Buck" meets "Kindergarten Cop" shows us why Vin Diesel no longer graces the silver screen.

I wasn't a fan. It just seemed to lack the story line and clever dialogue of an Uncle Buck or Kindergarden Cop. Vin Diesel does well though. One more thought...why are Ninjas, the masters of stealth, smashing through windows??

A fantastic movie with plenty of action and comedy included. A mix of classic children antics and male ignorance to domestic duties is well portrayed.

The change to comedy for Van Diesel was well done, it was a American movie that was funny without the need for canned laughter, kept moving to be of interest, great parts played by everyone.

This is a great family movie that all would enjoy. Vin Diesel plays a different role than what we're used to seeing him in and does it very well. Right from the start you're hooked and waiting to see what happens next. Some valuable life lessons to be learnt as well such as don't be afraid to be yourself and also to stand up for yourself. A real must see.
