When a rancher is reported murdered by cattle rustlers, the people of Ox-Bow decide to take justice into their own hands and lynch the alleged killers. Henry Fonda Classic. Excellent study in morality. Shows you that some nasty people just cannot help being the way they are.

Strange yet powerful movie. Strange in the fact that there weren't "lead" roles so to speak, there seemed more than one. Powerful in such that it makes you think we had better be right before condemning others. The movie is short compared to some, about 75 mins in all, but it packed a punch in that short time. This isn't a movie for everyone, stay with it if you are a Fonda fan. He is brilliant in this, as he is with most movies he is in.

I originally rated this as 3 only because there is not provision for 2 and a half. Fair story - not much substance. The style of justice has not changed.
