This series is done so well - I have come to feel for Pete & Sue like they're my own family! My mother can't watch this for too long because it stresses her out empathising with these two as they exhaust themselves tackling life's challenges.
Somehow this series manages to turn the everyday into an enteraining TV show. And it appears effortless and natural.
The kids are brilliant.

I'm forever astonished at the quality of the acting of the kids in this very clever series. Presumably there's a bit of ad lib but it all works just so well.
