On the 7th of February 2009, devastating bushfires tore through Victoria, Australia. Swathes of prime forest were destroyed and its wildlife incinerated. But, against all odds, there were survivors of Black Saturday. This is their story told in beautiful cinematography, describing how nature rose out of the ashes. DVD special features include extended interviews with fire victims and experts; behind-the-scenes footage with the animals in care; night timelapse footage and a photo gallery.

an inspirational doco. Score: vic fires 0 - nature 1.. so good to find out how that part of the country is now fairing - given that its not "news" anymore (according to mainstream press).
