Alice (Rachel Blanchard: Road Trip) and Josh (Stephen Moyer: True Blood), a couple on the verge of a nasty divorce, attempt to sell their empty love nest and move on with their lives. After a successful open house they are horrified to discover, days later, that two potential buyers Lila (Tricia Helfer: Battlestar Galactica) and David (Brian Geraghty: The Hurt Locker) didn’t leave their home. Imprisoning Alice in the basement, the sadistic, predatory houseguests move in upstairs. Soon, Alice senses David is keeping her capture a rebellious secret from his viscous partner. Now she knows her way out… if she can only get out alive.

I'm not a fan of the horror flick but this one's particularly ridiculous. Just as I was wondering what possessed Anna Pacquin and Stephen Moyer to be a part of this rubbish, I saw the credit, written and directed by Andrew Pacquin. She obviously loves her brother more than I love mine because I wouldnt be risking my credibility on a poorly written, low grade student film like this.

Being a massive fan of True Blood, I thought it would be interesting to see "Bill" and "Sookie" (also husband and wife, in real life) act together in different roles. Their characters last for about 5 minutes of the movie - don't bother watching this if you want to see it just for them (although "Bill" speaks in his native English accent). In fact, I would say not to bother watching this movie at all. I fell asleep watching it the first time and ended up watching it on fast forward the second time. Bad acting. I wondered what was the point of the storyline.

Unbelivably horrible thriller plays like the bad kind of garbage that plays on late night TV. A murderous couple take over an open house and kill off anyone who finds out their secret. But the Husband kept a would be victim and she could spell the end of them. The acting is the worst with wooden or over the top perfomances and the 2 stars of True Blood are hardly in it thu the film would had worked better with them as the couple as She overacts and he acts like a brick. The direction has no real story nor explains anything and just resorts to one killing following the next but insults the viewer not explaing the couple's madness or anything. It's clear the couple dont have a love life as they prefer to take it out on strangers with knives and thu there's plenty of violence none of it is inventive or changes and comes across as boring and predable. A lously ending is the cherry on this cynical sour cake. Def one for thriller fans to aviod as there is way better out there and fans of the stars from True blood are better off hiring True Blood.

I can't even rate this film, it was shockingly bad. As a True Blood fan, I though it would be worth watching as Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer were in it and thought it might be pritty good. Oh, how I was wrong! Anna & Stpehen were in it for maybe a combined time of 12 - 15 mins, if that.
My thoughts are.... if you have 1.5 hours to spend watching something mind numbing with terrible acting, a story line that doesn't make any sense, with slight moments of weak scariness then 'Open House' is the film for you.
