Screen superstar Hugh Jackman (X-Men, X2: X-Men United) and acclaimed actress Maureen Lipman (The Pianist) head a spirited cast in this visually stunning adaptation of the beloved Broadway favourite from Rodgers & Hammerstein. Director Trevor Nunn successfully adds a serious undertone to the sparkling repertoire, while Renaissance man Hugh Jackman proves he's more than just a pretty face (or a superhero) in this impressive turn as Curly. Along with Lipman, Josefina Gabrielle and Shuler Hensley, Jackman sings the show's best hits, including "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning," "The Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and the rousing title number.

Didn't really know what to expect with this movie, but what an unforgettable and fully entertaining experience to have seen it. I am afraid to say I had no idea that Hugh Jackman could dance and sing - but that he can! Now I have seen him in this production I can see what an absolutely outstanding, all round talent he is, with a love for the actor's craft. If I could give this more stars I would!!!!

Perfect. Hugh can act; he can sing; he can dance. The entire stage production was excellent and well executed. A wonderful experience.

I saw this at the same time the original X-Men came out and I couldn't believe that it was the same guy! So talented. In my book, Oklahoma is OK! Please put more stage shows of this quality on DVD

The production itself was excellent, but the viewing was marred by a number of serious skips.

A fun show, but I would have preferred it to be shot as a story, as the original "Oklahoma" film was. I was disappointed in the way the main female role of Laurie was portrayed, the only female in overalls! Very unflattering. Hugh Jackman at his magnificent best, he was the only five-star cast member.

My mistake, thought this was an updated 1999 movie rather than a recorded STAGE show, found it very long, bit to corny and naurally restrictive compared to the original movie. Jackman was excellent, lead female a bit wooden. But a pleasant night's viewing if you like stage shows.

You can see from watching this just how Hugh Jackman has climbed the Hollywood Ladder. This movie won't appeal to all but to anyone who has seen live theatre it is a must!

Didn't like the fact that this was merely a reproduction of the stage play, and not filmed as a movie in its own right.

OK if you like musicals, but not like Grease. It is pretty boring.
