Perfect choice for a tear jerker easy to watch sad and sweet love story. Feel too mature to like Ryan Gosling, but he is very good in his role. Classic love story if that's what you're looking for.

At the time of watching I felt like the only 41-year old woman who hadn't seen this. NOW I understand the fuss. As others have said, the acting by all is very very good and it doesn't fall into melodrama. Highly recommended.

Highly watchable and sentimental movie, that will have meaning for anyone who has been exposed to dealing with loved ones inflicted by dementia. Well scripted and shot beautifully, it recreates the world of the 1940s realistically and weaves the central story around the main characters in the present, as they deal with the realities of advancing age. Great casting. Well worth a view with your partner.

Phillip says, I found this movie, "The Notebook", extremely well scripted, acted and the content was very moving. Each one of us has had an experience similar to this story, haven't we? Well, nearly each one of us maybe, eh!!? The love shown by this couple was truely endearing, and the script surprisingly flowed along nicely. I watched this movie by myself, luckliy, because me being the romantic, thought (as I wiped my swelling eyes) wished it had happened to me. The settings were great and the way in which those flashbacks were done and intertwined made this stort just reach out and GRAB you. Posted this on 27 February 2012

Two Moon Junction with pretensions! Silly and depressing. The lead pair lacked chemistry and Naoh's pursuit of Allie and obsessive behaviour for the next seven years had mental case written all over it. Throw in a lack of realism (esp. in 1940 fashion and social mores) and confusing contemporary story (if Allie is now in her 80s then why are her kids in their 30s??)! Poor.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie but found it very sad - especially in the final minutes. It was made more poignant for me because a friend of mine lost her husband to alzheimers at a very early age and I knew she had inadvertently seen it while out with friends and it had upset her very much. Very well done though and it brings it home to all of us how it couhld be one of us.

Predictable and cliched. I'd been misled by lots of positive reviews to think this might be something unusual. Acting's not bad but the story is painting by numbers..and I had to groan at the ending. It also relies too much crescendo violin music to hammer the emotional scenes. painful.

A sentimental movie with a few tear jerkers, but well worth watching.

I've never cried in a movie before but this one had me bawling like a baby! Brilliant film, very touching and a lovely end to a beautiful relationship.

It's a real romantic chick-flick, so if that makes your toes curl, don't bother, but if you're on the soft side, you're gonna love this one. Makes you want to be 17 and in love all over again.
