With such a nice cast, how can this film be boring, quite simply where Chicago had a great story and interesting plot, Nine has neither and as a result not matter how good the cast (Cruz, Dench, Day-Lewis and Cotillard especially) the film will always be boring. Here's hoping that Rob Marshall doesn't screw up the next Pirates of the Carribean installment.

At first, me and my gf were very interested in the story (quite similar to Fellini's 8 1/2) and the music was so-so, nothing really catchy like on Chicago. But all of a sudden, maybe half way through the film, the pacing really dropped and by the end credits I could not care what was happening. Only the most devoted musical fan would be satisfied by this movie I think. After Chicago, it is quite a shame, really.

I quite liked this ... husband didn't. Quite different and nicely done. Certainly not for everyone though. A bit strange, but not too bad at all.
