The first of the Romero Zombie social commentary films. (Race.) Still stands up. Characters and interactions >messy deaths, but there are still a few messy deaths. Definitely recommend this film.
It's flawed, but I certainly prefer this version to some of the campy 80's era "sequels" that started out comical and lost ground from there.
At the time this film was ages it was a scary movie with slight bad acting but enteraining Not as good as some of the remakes but well worth veiwing
The acting is a little dodgy at time and its showing its age a little, but it spawned a huge new zombie genre and greats like Dawn of the Dead (original and remake) so its got to be okay. A must to see the grandaddy of the zombies.
Be sure its dated (made in the 60s) but a classic film. One of the first shocker films ever made. This movie was very scary in its day (some would say still is). After seeing this ,if you liked it, be sure to check out Dawn Of The Dead (1978) and Day Of The Dead.
Ahh don't watch this version. Stick to the orginal Night Of The Living Dead. All the extra bits in this movie are not made by the orginal director! The story in this version makes no sense!
A waste of time, a refund of the electricity needed, SO VERY dated !
