Life seems perfect for John Brennan (Russell Crowe) until his wife, Laura (Elizabeth Banks), is arrested for a gruesome murder she says she didn't commit. Three years into her sentence, John is struggling to hold his family together, raising their son and teaching at college while he pursues every means available to prove her innocence. With the rejection of their final appeal, Lara becomes suicidal and John decides there is only one possible, bearable solution: to break his wife out of prison. Refusing to be deterred by impossible odds or his own inexperience, John devises an elaborate escape plot and plunges into a dangerous and unfamiliar world, ultimately risking everything for the woman he loves.

WOW, add this to the queue right now!!
Was not expecting it to be this good!! Keeps you hooked from start to finish, ended so well i just sat there while the credits were going processing what i had just watched!

Fairly unbelievable in its premise this movie is still intriguing to watch and keeps you wanting to watch it. A few head scratching moments, but overall still enjoyable.

Brilliant, fast-paced film. Russell Crowe adds that gritty strength that we like to see in movie heroes, even though he is a bit of an amateur at the start. Watch it - you'll be on the edge of your seat towards the end.

Great movie. Had me glued to the screen the whole time wanting to know what was going to happen next. Bit of violence but not too much. I'm not a huge Russell Crowe fan but really enjoyed him in this one. Give it a go!

Wow, this was a good one. Didn't know what was going to happen, but it kept me intrigued and on the edge of my seat. I loved the ending. Russel is great.

Wow. It's been a very long time since I could remember I watched a good movie. The quality of the story and action is just wow. I shouldn't keep writing otherwise I'm going to spoil it to those who haven't watched. Something is best left unsaid :)

Liam Neeson is actually the crux of this movie. I would have thought Liam to play the main role (like in Taken) but Russell is supposedly more handsome (an aspect that was important for this movie - which i don't agree personally). But i think the movie would have had a higher impact if Liam were to play the role - this is his kinda movie!
