Las Vegas showroom magician Cris Johnson (Cage) has a secret which torments him: he can see a few minutes into the future. Sick of the examinations he underwent as a child and the interest of the government and medical establishment in his power, he lies low under an assumed name in Vegas, performing cheap tricks and living off small-time gambling "winnings." But when a terrorist group threatens to detonate a nuclear device in Los Angeles, government agent Callie Ferris (Moore) must use all her wiles to capture Cris and convince him to help her stop the catastrophe.

Base on a P.K.Dick story so it was always going to be good.
He wrote the base stories for Total Recall and Blade Runner.

Nicholas Cage played a great part in this movie, and although it was thoroughly unbelievable, there were some great chase scenes and plenty of action and drama.

Great movie. I love the interesting take on knowing the future, in this case knowing it only 2 minutes in advance, and the way this ability is lived out, how it affects the lead character's life, and how it can be used for both selfish and communal purposes. What could be both curse and gift, Nicholas's ability to "see" into the future changes the future, as he says, because he has seen it. It's just a nice mix of action, time travel (of sorts), romance, and disaster-movie genres. I really enjoyed it.

Okay film worth a watch, but a few plot holes and the ending wasn't all that satisfying for mine and some of the acting wasn't the best (Cage and Biel quite capable here though, as was short appearance by Peter Falk). If you're short of scifi/fantasy/action to watch, this one is entertaining enough, but not the best movie (or best Cage movie).

A very clever film. Cage does a tormented hero well and he is supported well. To really appreciate this film you have to watch it more than once. It will be a classic.

Despite not being a fan of Nicolas Cage, I really enjoyed this movie. There is lots of action but you do need to concentrate, with all the time shifts which initially can be a little confusing. Interesting ending which may leave you intrigued and wanting to watch it again.

A really good movie (if you can get over the fact that Nick Cage looks like a fugitive from a wax museum). You'll be gobsmacked at the beautiful scenery at the bottom of the grand canyon (the supai reservation) - just stunning!!

Another good adaptation of a Phillip K Dick story.
Not a huge fan of Nick Cage but he played the part well.
Loved the way the action sequences were done, with the characters foresight helping him to avoid one disaster after the other.
I'd recommend this film to anyone who's a fan of Phillip K Dick film adaptations, you won't be disappointed

I am not a fan of Nicolas Cage. He always looks scary somehow, an this movie is no exception. He looks very old and what is the deal with his ridiculous hair? As you can tell the movie was not interesting enough to keep these thoughts from running through my head. While I enjoyed the concept of being able to see 2 mins into the future- I don't think the movie stuck to this reality. I mean at one stage they were going to trick him by drugging him within the 2 min realm, and then he is able to be in all possible futures instanenously. I find it frustrating when Sci-Fi movies do this. This said- it's not unwatchable, and it is an interesting premise thanks to Philip K Dick (the author of the story this movie is based)

This movie is lots of fun to watch and keeps you on the edge of your seat - however, the pairing of Nic Cage and Jessica Biel was a bit far fetched, she is way too young for him! Also (and of course you must suspend disbelief when watching these films) there were a couple of moments in the film that were too unbelievable when they actually could have been made more believable quite easily!! Could they have thought of a better example of Cage's prescient ability than for him to pre-empt a guy who was telling him about a hotel up the road, when he may have simply already known about the hotel or just come from there? They could have tried a bit harder with moments like that but all round, pleasing viewing.

A fast paced and engaging action flick. You really have to follow this one closely to keep up.
An interesting and unique plot and it did not have that eery feeling that you would expect from a 'psychic film'. Chris Johnson (Cage) has a super-natural power and uses it more along the line of a superhero (like X-men).

It's not Con Air or Face-Off or even Ghost Rider - but a Nicholas Cage action movie is always worth catching on DVD as opposed to forking out serious cash at the cinemas.
Some very seamless CG and nice action pieces prove that although it is not any of the films mentioned earlier, it is still; better than most action films going around at the moment.

The plot is quite clever and the special effects reasonable but the acting is cheesy and it feels like the whole cast had something much better to do elsewhere. Nicholas Cage (Cris Johnson) never got out of auto-pilot and looked old, frumpy and in desperate need of a decent haircut. The "romance" between him and Jessica Biel's character (Liz Cooper) was totally unbelievable. Cage, looking far older than usual, looked uncomfortable in the scenes with her and to add insult to injury, Biel cannot act. She has never been able to act and probably never will. But the most disappointing of all was Julianne Moore (Callie Ferris). Sure she's been an FBI agent before, but this time she's just along for the ride and contributes very little to film. Overall just an average thriller.

I could have watched it for longer, instead I opted to watch it over and over - you pick up all those 'bits' you miss the first couple of times. The computer imagery wasn't overdone for the plot and the action was great I loved it and it's a definate must see!

I'd heard mixed reviews of this film and I can see why it has divided audiences. It has an excellent premise but doesn't quite explore it in a fully satisfactory way. The "romance" is a little odd and could have been better established. Nic Cage does look a little strange but still has the screen presence to carry the film. It has the typical implausibility problems but these are not hard to overlook if you are willing to accept the premise and just enjoy the ride. I enjoyed the film but felt frustrated at the end, that the concept wasn't adequately explored.
