A little scary for younger children - older children aged 5 & 7 enjoyed but only watched once.
Absolutely fantastic We loved it Nothing like a movie that gives you some hope!! and inspiration All movies should be so family friendly
Strictly for the kids and it's worth 3 stars as purely a children's movie, but that's where it ends. Emma looks embarrasssed to be there most of the time. Not a patch on the first movie........it's mainly pretty silly with too many computrer generated gimmicks to make up for a bad plot and serious lack of content.......maybe kids won't like it??
Kids loved it. Watched it a few times.
boring and predictable unfortunately
Follows on from "Nanny McPhee" .just as delightful and full of lessons for all.
Emma Thompson is excellent.
not as good as the first Nanny McPhee we saw, but thenkyou
Nice, but lacking the charm of the first one which was much better.
Loved this one, could watch her all day.
Pleasant family fairy tale viewing, just a bit lacking in 'oomph'
great movie....enjoyed it as much as my 4 year old.
As a 27 Year Old i thoroughly enjoyed this Flick....Quiet funny
If you liked the first Nanny McPhee movie, you will love this one too. It gives a little more insight to the character and has a lovely connection to the first movie. Definitely a family favourite.
was a good as last one ... bring on number 3??? gross, funny and entertaining
Feelgood family movie. Recommend it.
Not that enjoyable. OK movie.
Good, but the 1st one is better!
the copy i had was bad i could not watch the hole movie
I disagree with the other reviews, I think that this movie was every nit as good as the first. Granted the magic was more in your face than the first one, but the children got to perform it themselves in this one, and it was eventually magic that brought them together. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments, I watched this with my little brother while he was home from school with tonsillitis and he loved it too. The youngsters who played the children have a lot of talent (the older boy was Bruno from The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas and I think he did very well going from drama to comedy/family) and of course Emma Thompson was amazing as usual. It brought out the magic even more and accentuated the closeness that Nanny McPhee builds with her young charges. This movie deserved a 5 star rating.
WOW What a great movie defently would watch it again ... i give it 10 stars
As with many sequels, a poor effort compared with the original.
not quite as good as the original but enjoyable ...loved the little touch at the end
A little disappointed with this, it did not have the magic of the original.
Worth watching, enjoyable but not as good as the first one.
Sweet, fun film, created very much for the kids, with some delightfully over the top performances.
I expected almost nothing of this movie - the kids had been keen to see it and me not-so-much - but from the very beginning (and I wasn't planning on paying attention) it had me delighted and very interested.... I think I saw most of this movie from start to finish which is more than I can say for most fo the kids movies we own (and we own quite a number!)
This is a fantastic, good fun movie that everyone enjoyed. There were lots of giggles and we watched it more than once. Highly recommend it.
Just like the first movie pretty good would recommend
The first in the series was MUCH better, as with more Sequel/prequel gambles, but still quite good! effects were great and everyone loved this one!
Enjoyable family movie but unfortunately not in the same league as the first one. Still worth a watch.
A nice family movie. The kids will love it.
Excellent just as good as number one which we own
Not as good as the first one
Fantastic family movie - as good as the first Nanny McPhee!
The first Nanny McPhee was a gem so I eagerly awaited the release of this second issue. It was a disappointment in that it was high in slapstick and lacking in believeablity. Whereas the first was as much an excellent film for adults as it was for for younger viewers.
No where near as good as the first one. Trying too hard to copy the first one, but epic FAIL!
Big disappointment. I'm 25 and absolutely loved the first movie, having seen it several times, but the second one is way over the top and unrealistic. Might be good for a young audience, but for the adult still in love with childrens films: don't bother.
The kids will love this!! It is even better than the other Nanny McPhee films. More laughs, more fun, cute animals and fantastic effects. We all loved it. The cutest animals you've ever seen add the 'aww' factor and they steal the show. Great cast, good to see Rhys Ifans again in a pefect role, and of course Emma Thompson is excellent. You will want to see this more than twice especially the kids. They may even learn a thing or two! My son behaved himself for a whole day afterwards and even folded his clothes!! A must see film all the family will enjoy (even Dad)!
Fantastic movie, as good as the first if not better. The kids loved it!
The original 'Nanny McPhee' movie has been a family favourite for a long time and I'm thrilled to say this was just as wonderful for all ages 2 - 92 years, great easy to understand story line, full of funny side splitting scenes and sure to be another family favourite. Just adored the final scene with 'little Aggie' from the original movie, tied them together beautifully.
Another delightful Nanny McPhee movie, this time set during one of the World Wars - I'm not too sure which.
Good story, nice acting, interesting characters - Maggie Smith as a shop keeper with dementia for example, and the disgusting Mr Eidleweiss - but somehow I didn't think it had the passion of the first one.
A great family child friendly film very amusing and heartwarming.
