A very cute film. I imagine kids would adore it, and for me I enjoyed the Cinderella-type qualities of the piece. Plus- magic when used for good is always worth a star. Hence, 4 stars.
Excellent all round. Kids loved it. Parents loved it. Emma Thompson is brilliant. Moral lessons are also great.
I order this movie to watch with my niece and nephew and totally enjoyed it.
Good movie without too much razzamatazz to fill in the gaps (don't:see Mr Magoriums Blah Blah...). Adult friendly and worth a watch just for Emma Thompson, unlike the second spinoff.
Great kids movie or will appeal to adults with an active (inner) child. Loved it. Full of magic and beautiful scenery.
A delightful fresh children's story, which is good for adults to see and learn!
I enjoyed this movie and so did my kids.
A very enjoyable film to watch. Great for the whole family.
This was a great movie for all the family everyone enjoyed it.
A more engaging if not slightly twisted version of the Mary Poppins style of character.. We loved it! Well done Emma Thompson! Brilliant!!
Glorious! A far better version of the genre than Mary Poppins - wonderfully British with everyone hamming it up to the hilt.
I really enjoyed this movie.
Good movie for whole family
A lovely film -- eminently watchable for kids of all ages. Celia Imrie's performance was fabulous!
Absolutely brilliant, kept kids quiet throughout, they loved it.
Better than i thought
it was okay"""
Very colourful, funny, well-acted by all...totally enjoyable for all the family. The kids are fantastic (I love little Thomas Sangster's portrayal), as is Mrs Quickly. Very fairytale in style....sweet.
More magic that Mary Poppins with a moral that teaches all ages a thing or two. Really enjoyed watching this movie.
The person you need is Nanny McPhee! Do not listen to nay-sayers, a very good film. Its an updated nanny movie. Reminded me of Bedknobs and Broomsticks (seminal in my development!) justr the kids were far more modern (ie: a lot worse!).
very entertaining good children and family friendly film
The kids enjoyed it. It was well done. Good cast. Nice to look at.
i loved this movie wached it over and over not to many movies are made like that anymore could have had some more humor in it. more romance would also have been welcomed
It's a terrific fairytale, filled with classic morals (as in all good fairytales!). I enjoyed it, it's good fun. If you enjoy light and entertaining 'fairytale' stories then I'd recommend this one.
we all loved this, some charming performances by Emma Thompson and some of the children...all in all a great family movie
very well documented movie.. we put together and very entertaining
Good, all round family movie. We watched with our children and all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great movie for the whole family. We all loved it.
Excellent movie and suitable for all ages!
great movie that really gets you thinking
realy charming movie, my children and myself loved it. Colin Firth was magnisifent as always and the children ,well.. they stole the show. A great family movie to watch all together
Good light childrens film. Especially good for ages 3-7.
good and interesting, but more a kids flick
so delightful,of course if any of you ladies fell in love with the charm of Colin Firth in Bridgette Jones diary as I did this will surley get you fluttering all over again,oh! yes and the kids loved it too :)
This is an awesome movie. Great to see Angela Landsbury playing an interesting role. This was very funny and a big thumbs up. Great acting from the "naughty" children. Emma Thompson was great as Nanny Mcphee. Her transformation throughout the movie totally amazed the kids.
Wonderfull family movie, for big kids as well as little ones!
very cute, funny - nice for the family
Great kids movie with enough adult humour to be enjoyable for all. Highly recommended
worth watching for a good family DVD
A wonderful film for children that the adults can enjoy too. Nanny was a bit too sluggish for my liking but nonetheless a superb film.
Really great family movie - enjoyable for big & little kids!
This movie was an absolute treat!! A 21st century Mary Poppins!! Emma Thompson played a brilliant role and even the wishy washy Colin Firth came to the party. Imelda Staunton always shines and the kids were great. The story, with its lessons to be learnt, made it an all rounder. Highly recommended.
my kids 3 and 5 were a little young but I loved it
The right amount of intrigue and a great mix of 'Sound of Music' and Pinocchio........
The story was so totally believable, I thoroughly enjoyed it
Great. Make sure you watch this movie carefully as you don't want to miss a trick. Stunning actors and thought gone into this movie. Lets hope the kids listen to her and pass it on.
An enjoyable family movie-well we watched it without the kids! Emma Thompson calm and assured in her screenplay and role of Nanny McPhee. Good casting, though the lead boy I found didn't quite fit with the others, maybe that was the point. Colin Firth in his usual typecast bumbling character - which Working Title films specialise in. The tweedle dee, tweedle dum pair were fun, and the fantasy make-up and designs all fun. So when you can't play outside, stick this DVD on, and also the extras on making the film and the history of the story are good infotainment.
This is quite an entertaining and humourous movie. Nanny McPhee is like a version of Mary Poppins but without the sugar to help the medicine go down. A great family movie.
Wow what an amazing fantasy story = really enjoyed by all
great movie if you just want entertainment
Good family movie,enjoyable.
Great family movie with timeless lessons to learn! excellent acting from Emma Thompson (of course!) and the lovely Colin Firth, who seems to always win in love! great to see the young man from 'Love Always' in this film as eldest brother, Simon. a fun movie for everyone!
My husband and I watched it and loved it. Who says these movies are just for the kids?
Enjoyed this movie, nice to see that parents do have lessons to learn also
I really enjoyed this movie.
I like the fantasy and the good feeling at the end.
Great family flick. Deleted scenes worth a look.
I really enjoyed this film.
A very different Colin Firth & Emma Thomson in this delightful confection of family life!
Very good for children - especially kids that need to know about manners
Awsome! the kids want me to buy it. Good family favourite.
Ordinary cast,ordinary acting, ordinary plot.
Great movie watched it more than one time
I loved this movie, great British cast, setting etc. A good one for the whole family, I love happy ever after movies and this was one of those!
Good for the kids... but the plot is a bit recycled
Loved it- a kids show for adults!
