Actors: Scarlett Johansson, Laura Linney, Paul Giamatti, Chris Evans, Donna Murphy

A 21-year-old New York University student becomes a nanny to a family on the Upper East Side who turns out to be the family from hell. The story of the journey of Annie Braddock, a young woman from a working-class neighborhood in New Jersey, struggling to understand her place in the world.

Fresh out of college, she gets tremendous pressure from her nurse mother to find a respectable position in the business world, although Annie would prefer to trade in her Blackberry for an anthropologist's field diary. Through a serendipitous meeting, Annie ends up in the elite and ritualistic culture of Manhattan's Upper East Side--as remote from Annie's suburban New Jersey upbringing as life in an Amazon tribal village.

A little bit of light fluffy dram-edy with pretty young thing Scarlett Johansson in the lead. It's hard to believe that her character although blessed with intelligence opts for a more physically demanding (and demeaning) job as a nanny to the spoilt terror that is Grayer. Cue supposed hilarious frustration. Also Laura Linney, wow, way to play an unlikable character so convincingly I didn't even like her after her supposed "redemption". Watch it for sassy Alicia Keys and an adorable young Chris Evans in support roles.

Was not at all what we expected. Didn't think it was very comedic. More drama then comedy. We still enjoyed it and thought it an interesting look into Nannying. But nothing special.

Scarlett Johansson plays a suitably attractive, clueless nanny and Laura Linley does a great heartless and similarly clueless mother. Nice enough but pretty predictable.

Light and "heavy" at the same time, i really enjoyed watching this movie. What is important in life is knowing yourself and what you want, so that you are able to make proper choices..but also on the wrong path you can meet something beautiful that helps you grow.

Scarlett Johansson (brunette in this one) stars as the college graduate who becomes a nanny for the spoilt brat of a rich new york couple in need of therapy. A couple of girly scenes with balloons and with this animation makes it a movie for kids as well. Not her best movie.

Scarlett and Laura Linney can't save this one from being an underwhelming and unmoving experience. Quite boring in the end.

A bit of nothing throughout, with a few moments of supposed 'enlightenment' describes this movie. Not painful but definately not enthralling either.

I loved this movie. I think it is very realistic of how being a Nanny is America can be. Scarlett was a really good actress in this film

Classic coming of age story. I liked the anthropology approach that crept in every now and then. But overall, it was very formulaic and obviously catering to the girl teen market. Curiously though I didn't turn it off.

Different to what I expected but really quite good. Scarlett was great in character and you couldnt help but feel sorry for her boss and the child. Ending could've been better though.

This is rather a good way to spend nearly 2 hours. Scarlett is really natural, the child actor not as annoying as you'd expect and Alicia Keys is wonderful as Scarlett's best friend. Won't set the world on fire but it's quite a good movie.

Haven't seen a movie yet where Scarlett Johansson wasn't perfect. Laura Linney also didn't disappoint and a complimentary supporting cast helped cement this as a most enjoyable movie.

A very easy "don't need to think much" movie, which provides enough entertainment for the family. It would certainly put me off becoming a Nanny and would recommend anyone considering this career being a "pushover" job to think twice!

even the relatively good acting couldn't make that script shine. 40 min of utter boredom was all I could take. Maybe it gets better towards the end.

Fun movie for the girls with a few emotional moments. Bit of a message about the society brought up by their nannies. I would recommend for anyone who like Georgia Rule, Devil Wears Prada, Uptown Girls.

Didn't like this much - even though I usually enjoy these types of movies. Too "feel-good" but the actors didn't seem to have the chemistry to back it up. Not as funny as I expected, but ok to kill a few hours.

Fantastic, Scarlet Johanson is a very good actress, she should teach Mandy Moore a thing or two. Finally a hollywood movie with a great story line that makes you really think about life. Unfortunately she shows the rich at their best, kids are just an accessory, most of the time the children think the nanny is their mum

Scarlett Johansson is just the girl for this role ! Interesting story based from the point of view of a nanny and we had the chance to explore the other side of ourselves as well. Fantastic casting and setting (: It's a film that will warm up your heart, 100% recommended !
