When his father (Preston Foster) finally agrees to let him choose a foal, Ken picks Flicka, a beautiful but high-spirited filly who comes from a bloodline considered hopelessly wild. It is up to Kenito prove Flicka is tamable or risk losing her. Along the way, Ken and his family learn some important lessons in this poignant tale of love, patience, faith, and "hope beyond hope".

Popular with the horsey-minded in the family. This version has endured well and is worth viewing for the nostalgia of seeing child-star Roddy McDowall in action.

Wonderful children's movie with emphasis on how important it is to love and care for animals properly. My grandchildren were completely enthralled and entertained by it.
