Didn't think much of this, going to watch the remake which is meant to be quite good (by recommendation)

Great slasher from the early 80's. A notch better then the re-make and some inventive kills.

After Friday the 13th raked it in big with horror fans clones of the film started to come out. Some were great and some were not. This film fall in the middle between them. A town celebrating Valentines day has a serial killer running around bumping off not only teens but others as well. The town has a dark past with a mining accident while the supervsiors were at a dance and one person was found buried. 20 years later and a killer in mining gear with a gas mask decides to force the townspeople to cancel the dance he dont at 1st so he decides to throw a party of his own. A death party for people to die for. The acting is well done and the direction throws in quite a few plot twists thou some get really silly towards the end. It is a rather violent film but it is badly censored despite the R rating make the kill scenes alomost as choppy as Friday the 13th part 7's. plus the final plot twists make very little sense but its quite good for a Friday the 13th clone and is worth a view
