On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary and Mary from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

LOVED IT!!! This movie is so much fun its one of those films you could watch over and over and never get sick of it. Great cast, human and muppet. Great catchy songs, great colour and movement. Overall a great fun film from the Disney/Muppet powerhouse.

I quite enjoyed this new visit with the Muppets. Walter was a beautiful new character, and the Oscar winning song "Man or Muppet" was a highlight. As a fan of Jason Segal and Amy Adams I enjoyed their little sub-plot. Watch the special features - there was an extra scene including some back story of Chris Cooper's character which I think should have been left in the film - it helped explain his "Maniacal Laughter" catch-phrase, and why he hated the Muppets so much.

Clever Muppet movie. Miss Piggy, though usually a star, was underutilised in this. Chris Cooper's bad man rap was screamingly funny. The character Walter is a scene stealer too.

A gorgeous, absurd, and frequently hilarious nostalgia hit for anyone who grew up with the Muppets.
