Ethan Green is an adorable 26 year old looking for love in all the wrong places. He has no problem finding guys who want to sleep with him or even date him, but finding someone to settle down with is a different story. Given three choices - a sexy teenager, a hunky jock, or his ex-boyfriend who is about to get married - can he find Mr. Right. Based on a popular gay-themed comic strip, The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green is a hilarious screwball romantic comedy that answers the crucial questions that plague all in the gay community: Do gay Republicans deserve happiness? And is there anyone out there who doesn't lie on their online profile?

We ordered this movie because it was listed under the work of Ethan Coen. But Coen had nothing to do with it. It is a soppy soapy which we could not stand to watch.

Lightweight sitcom humour... entertaining enough tho for a quick watch... typically not grounded in real life.

First half was great. Second half not so good, could have been so much better. But not the worst gay cinema

A bit cutsey and predictable. Tells a pretty good story in a very funny way. The acting is very weak and the story tends to follow the same formula as almost every other gay rom-com. Has its moments and does show some realistic traits of those living in most gay communities. Worth a watch once.

Not a bad movie. It was great to see Meredith Baxter (Family Ties) return to the screen!

I think the title is supposed to be ironic, but its not, and this stinker is just unfabulous. Terrible lightning and film stock give it a school project look and feel. Check out Dorian Blues for a great gay movie.

There is something about this movie that, while you know it is not great, gets you hooked and ensures you enjoy it. A great performance by Daniel Letterle in the title role [a character you hate, then love, then hate, etc.], as well as wonderful an funny performances by the great support staff -- and great to see Meredith Baxter since her days of Family Ties. Not the greatest movie, perhaps not even great; but exceptionally enjoyable.
