Really enjoyed this movie! Just not what I was expecting and loved it!
Good story but I found it needed more concentration than what I had when relaxing with a movie. It was not until close to the end that I worked out the relationship between different people.
I mustn't have been in the right mood for this movie. I kept falling asleep it was so boring so we didn't watch it all.
I love this movie! And have for years!!
What is wrong with you Nickstar? This movie is great. A bit of everything Indian. Let yourself go and enjoy.
This movie was awful - not what I expected at all. Didn't even watch it all the way through...
For those that have been to India this will bring back some memories. Good film with a few threads woven through. Touch of upstairs / downstairs.
Loved this movie. It is a real feel good movie with lots of fun but a nice story as well.
Quite enjoyable in a chaotic, meandering sort of way. A glimpse of India an added bonus.
This makes our traditional hen's and buck's nights look embarrassingly primitive. Loud, colourful and frantic... a bit like India.
LOve these type of movies..not bollywood but a good family story with some serious issues and outcomes mixed with great humour and pathos...The Indian movie style is always colourful and easy viewing...5 stars from me!
Couldn't get past the first ten minutes, was so amatuer.
Lovely cultural experience within a funny story. Not your average weekend movie viewing but a really nice change.
For me, this movie was a cultural delight. It leaves you warm and fuzzy after taking you to places you couldn't have expected to be. It sneaks up on you with insights on people and families and gives you what we all want - a happy ending :-) Great in the feel-good stakes.
I enjoyed this movie because of the different customs leading up to the wedding. Nice family movie.
Terrible. A mixture of Punjabi muttered with English. Several themes all proceeding simultaneously but with no cohesion. Not worth using up one of your rentals on.
More of a chick flick than a male movie. I found the language difficult to follow. It seemed a mixture of Hindi and English. I can imagine Indian people would like it. It was okay, but not wonderful. Colourful, some happy times, some sad times. Okay.
surprising film, not easily characterised, but very very good. At first I thought I had to turn the subtitles on when there was no english in the first scene, then i realised that i could follow this movie as the actors moved between languages, the relationships and the story were clear.
One of the the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. The actors were so natural and the emotion so real in a family under all the tensions of a wedding they can really ill afford.Iandian culture is so complex and this film captured the various layers beautifully. A lesson in life movie.
Dysfunctnably funny, but truth lies between.
flimsy acting, but boy, the colours and the music... i want a wedding in India too !!!
Beautiful film. The colours are just exquisite. Lovely story of love and marriage in modern India.
Brilliant colours, if you have ever been to India you will feel at ease.
A lot of fun, as the Director says, in a chaotic Punjab fashion.
A really appealing and enjoyable film. Fantastic colour, great characters and music. Some more serious sub-plots sit comfortably in what is basically a really fun film.
Great fun, light entertainment with some serious and sensitive areas. A good insihgt into another culture( than mine!)
Classic light hearted look at life in suburban Anglo-Indian Dehli!
Wonderfully colourful and the music is very catchy.
Once you get your ears adjusted to the Indian mixed english language of the movie, this is a very entertaining watch! Gives a good insight to the closely knitted Indian culture and the value of family ties, served with a good pinch of light-hearted comedy...
Great sets, a great story and loads of funny Indians rnning around in a monsoon excellent viewing.
Couldn't understand most of the dialogue. Corny.
hard to understand a lot of the time. Has funny oments also serious.
Loved it! Good acting, great story & very topical.
was interesting and quiet funny in some parts was worth watching
Entertaining look at how some cultures organise weddings :) ... good to see that my family isn't the only disfunctional one. Definitely worth watching.
