Brillant horor/thriller is both exciting and intellgent and is about 7 FBI profilers who are sent to an island to chase a fictional killer but the training turns out to be a real deathtrap and the killer may or may not be one of them. Brillaint acting by a stella cast thu on a small gripe some of the more known actors sadly get not much screen time but still are brill with the little time they have. The direction sets up an interesting yet gloomy island and the twists and turns come thick and fast having the viewer on edge and always guessing who the Puppeter is. No spoliers but lets just say even the most avid Agatha Christie buff will have trouble figuring this one out as its very clever towards the end. The Killer is a lot like the killer from The Bat as he uses time much like that killer does. The kills are impressive and very Saw like minus the torture only the machines required plus impressive effects. Reasonably violent but nothing more gory then Die Hard or its sequels. A satisfying wrap up at the end as well. Def highly recommended to action and horror fans as this film should appeal to both.

A weird cross between a horror film and police drama. Unlike previous Renny Harlin classics like: Die Hard 2, Adventures of Ford Fairlane, Long Kiss Goodnight and Cliffhanger, there is no humor or exciting action sequences. Although the cast is well appointed (Val Kilmer, LL-Cool-J and Clifton Collins), the storyline is too crazy to make it work. Don't blame Wayne Kramer though, the screenplay had been redrafted many times.

I may have seen a worse movie but I cant remember when. At the end I just felt I had wasted my time watching it. No real story line. No credibility. No good acting. Poor filming.

An Interesting movie, and not what I expected at all. I liked the movie, and found it interesting, but thought some of the acting was very wooden, and the storyline a little slow to start with..

Storyline was disappointing. As it was an exercise on some island it lacked realism. I also thought that since these people were supposed to be the cream of the FBI they were indecisive and often just fools. I also failed to establish what the motive of the murderer was for the killings. What could have been a good movie was spoilt by an average storyline.

Quite good. There are a few old cliche's but enough twists to keep you guessing. Not your usual serial killer movie.

A brilliant movie, fantastic cast especially the roles portrayed by LL Cool J and Kathryn Morris. Val Kilmer and Christian Slater are always great. A very different kind of suspense/thriller movie with a great story line. Keeps you interested the whole time with lots of action and trying to guess who the killer is. A great twist at the finish and superb musical composition for the movie soundtrack. Watch this, you will be enthralled !
