Looking for solutions to the energy crisis, a team of scientists discover a way to harvest unlimited energy from solar flares. An ex-colleague who has tested the project on his own learns, however, that unharnessed it will threaten to destroy the earth. The launch of the Helios Project sees a leak of the small percentage of the gathered solar energy and develops into a rogue magnetic vortex or metal tornado that magnetically polarizes everything within its path.

Sad but true. Low budget acting, script, plot, special effects.... So cheap & cheesy the whole thing is laughable.
Disaster movie fans will be disappointed with this one. And anyone from France will be horrified.

We enjoyed this a lot. OK some of the acting was pretty sub-standard and some of the CGI could have been better, but it was still a good watch. If you can see past those flaws it is a pretty good disaster movie.
