Thought this one looked a bit sinister from the previews, but it was actually really well thought out. The whole family enjoyed it - and talked about it for a long time afterwards. Kids aged 5 and 7 found it exciting but not too scary at all.

My son liked it. After watching the special features he was impressed how the characters were so close to the animated characters and watched it again.

Wasn't overly impressed by this movie. could have been a better story. fell too much focus on the image capture animation. there are many better kids movies out there

We liked this. Very sweet - don't know about the 'if your bad you'll be punished' message, nor the 'when women are in charge everything goes wrong' message, but we liked the motion capture and mum had a little weep at the end.

I stumbled across this whilst zapping though the TV, the great animation and voice acting got my attention, and a very good and deep thought-after story line kept me watching till the end. Absolutely a gem in the family movie collection.

This was an excellent movie well aimed at the audience, although there was a fair bit for adults also. I highly recommend this movie for children up to 12 years.

A fantastic movie. It was funny, sweet, dramatic and kept you on the edge of your seat in places. I dont know if i really like the computer generated animation but it is something that is going to stay with us I guess. Five stars for this one.

My boys persuaded me to sit down and watch this with them and I'm glad I did, it's a great little animated movie (CGI?) where the humans look very lifelike. My 10 yr old son was especially touched by the plight of the 'good mum' being abducted by aliens (maybe this movie might be a little scary or disturbing to younger children?) and her son desperately trying to save her. I thought it was a delightful, visually entertaining movie that is also quite touching, though it does worry me a little that kids might think that, if they misbehave, their mothers won't get abducted by aliens!!!

Well as an adult I quite enjoyed it and my 8 yo son did too. I liked the animation, not creepy at all (like Polar Express). It was a bit sad at the end (for both me and my son) but a great family movie that teaches kids to be appreciative! Dont read into it too much and you will enjoy it, after all it is a kids movie!

The kidts said it was boring and di not watch 5 minutes. I watched it all and thought it was average. The voice over from the kid was so over the top. The story pretty lame. It had the boy on Mars growing up without parents, being a grown up kid. What a cliche. It seemed to be having a subtle did at China.

This movie is AWESOME! Don't be put off by the dumb title, this is an imaginative and visually amazing and fast paced comedy that's aimed more at adults than kids. The CG animation will blow you away. Listen to the movie on surround sound if you can because the soundtrack is brilliant. Definitely worth watchingseveral times and I'm gonna buy myself a blue ray copy!

I would probably rate this a 3-star for adults but my six year old son really enjoyed it so I've bumped it up to 4-stars as I really got it for him. He found it mildly confronting when the "Mom" was first abducted but the story soon became light hearted enough for him to enjoy and had several giggles. Interesting to watch the short making of clips at the end.

I'm a Disney fan, but I was very lukewarm about this movie. It lacks the charm compared to the movies that come out of the Disney Pixar stable, although the motion-capture animation is pretty amazing, albeit funky looking. Worth a look, but if you go in with too high an expectation, you may be disappointed.

It was great movie, says Donny Junior. Very realistic animation, wow. There is a really sad part at the end, when the boy smashes his helmet. Get it , very entertaining for both kids and adult.

It was a great film. Being a Disney fan i had to watch it. I was quite impressed... it was a good film. I felt that something was missing though... maybe this something is the reason why this film didn't do as well as it should have. Still... the characters are likeable, the animation is great (same technique as Polar Express and A Christmas Carol) and it has a heart warming story about being united as one. Wont be liked by all... but i enjoyed it.

No actually Mars Needs A More Interesting Movie. When are directors gonna stop making these really creepy motion capture animation movies. The 'photo real' animation style is just plain unnerving. In general had to keep rewinding movie as I kept dropping off. Not sure if really a attention grabber for kids.
