Great film. Intriguing. interesting. Old film, classic but really interesting and holds your attention. you got to watch it though. don't just half look at it or you wont appreciate what it has to offer.

Made with sympathy and restraint. Masterly stuff. A good old time movie the way they don't make them any more.

Quintessential British 'stiff upper-lip' wartime film - well and quietly acted, great script - and all of it true - on a par with the Goon Show version - 'The Was Who Never Man'
