‘Mambo Italiano’ is a fun movie but with some thoughtful issues thrown in for good measure. The acting is very good, if a little larger-than-life in good Italian style, and the script and directing are slick, funny, poignant at times, and very pacey.

Long winded, maybe I just wasn't in the mood to watch it. Not captivating.

I know I'm reviewing this a while after the event, but I really can't recall much about it. It can't have been that bad though, so I suppose it was okay.

A likeable enough movie, easy to watch and funny - it attempts to prove a point about being true to yourself and does a good job in a fairly soft way. Good cast, the Italian parents are especially good in their roles, as is the sister. This is a movie for an undemanding night with some pop corn.

If you're ethnic, you will relate, otherwise, it won't have any meaning to you.

Hilarious, and scarily reminiscent of my own family, which is as Anglo-Saxon as they come.

Funnier than other comedies I've seen, at least with this one the actors can act. It's like Brokeback Mountain before the marriages but with the acknowlegement of their homosexuality.

Definitely worth watching! Hilarious in parts, some of the plot reminded me a little of the "Wedding Banquet". Excellent laugh therapy!

Had been told this was like My Big Fat Greek Wedding only Italian - rubbish. Much more thought provoking and deeper that that piece of fluff. Well worth watching

A rather superficvial albeit enjoyable movie, focusiing on the traditional culture of Italy vs the almost ignored tradition of gay relationships - What Gay Italians? No way. Well, though I say that this film may be worth watching, you may find other films take priority.

Don't waste your money, there are much better films of this genre around. This movie - like its characters - can't decide if it is a commedy or serious film but rather a confusing mish mash. What a snoozer to boot!!
