A whimsical romance with a heart of gold, Make the Yuletide Gay follows a young gay couple as they face their first Christmas apart.
Sweet-natured Gunn (Keith Jordan) has to climb back in the closet to survive the holidays with his whacky Wisconsin parents, and cutie-pie Nathan (Adamo Ruggerio) is preparing to spend another Christmas with his cold-hearted relatives. When nathan surprises everyone by turning up on Gunn's doorstep the couple is hilariously forced to juggle a hetero charade with their gay reality.

The title is a little misleading inasmuch as it suggests a rather camp and frothy movie but ‘Make the Yuletide Gay’ isn’t that at all. It’s funny, poignant and yes, a little camp but appropriately so. I really enjoyed the ‘how do I tell the folks that I’m gay’ theme. Hardly original but it worked due mainly to the actors and director. The script is good but lessened by too much narrative.
