U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive - a photograph he found of a woman he doesn't even know. Learning her name is Beth and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.

Dont know why I picked this one, typical romance rubbish so predictable with absolutely no substance. Watched the first 20 mins then flicked through the rest to the inevitable conclusion. Maybe for young girls who still believe in this c**p.

I enjoyed this movie. I really liked the chemistry between Zac and Taylor. I would have given it one more star except for the couple of unbelievable bits of the kid and his father in the river and when the father attacked Zac in the street. Those bits were rather silly and overacted and detracted from the love story between the main characters. Loved Blythe Danner as the Grandmother. Lots of guts and gumption. Definitely a girls movie, but being a girl, I did like it. Good couple of hours.

Gorgeous film - made me think about what service men and women go through in the line of duty, what they must see and think and how having someone, anyone from home to remind them of what they are doing being 'worth it' - even if that person is not someone they even know. Loved it.

Zac Efron is very cute and he was very cute all the way through this movie. Yes, it's a chick flick but a good one. I enjoyed it. Got a little slow in the middle but picked up and ended well. The story was well balanced - could have taken a nasty turn but it smoothed out, dead wood was cut off and everybody lived happily ever after. And did I say Zac Efron is very cute!

I'm starting to appreciate Zac Efron more as an actor. I enjoyed this movie.
Good for Nicholas Spark fans and those who enjoy romantic movies. Might be a bit too romantic/boring/slow for those that generally only like action/drama movies that hold you in suspense.

Well this is kind of a postcard to Zac Effron's amazing looks really. Although he is a reasonably good actor and I like the intensity. I would have to see him in a few other roles to be able to determine whether he can really cut it. I thought the female lead was a bad choice and came across as very insipid. A different actress and the sparks would have REALLY flown! I admit, for most guys, this would be a pretty unwatchable chick flick.

Ticks all the boxes to be a great chickflick - beautiful love story, happy ending, Zac takes his shirt off, etc. However, the best thing about this movie is that it isn't lightweight. There's real emotion, good acting, and a great thought provoking message about destiny (good people/bad people getting what they deserve, etc.) Men might not be so keen on the mushy bits, though there are a few war scenes, etc. thrown in for them :)
