Quite well done I thought. Loved seeing Anne Hathaway's body & thought she & Jake acted well. As did the guy playing the older salesman. The brother's role was overdone I thought. Overall much better than I expected.

Not all that good; predictable and flat. Storyline was almost a try too hard and this is what we've ended up with.

3/4 of this movie one wondered where it was going and only the last 1/4 gave you a more in depth idea of what it was about. Well acted by Jake and Anne but maybe a bit wasted on this.

An unusual twist on the rom-com genre: the guy is a Viagra salesman when the drug first goes on the market. To say more would be a spoiler.

I went into this under the impression it was a straight up comedy and while it does have some funny moments it is definitely not what I was expecting. love & other drugs has two unlikely leading characters in that neither of them are your standard archetype that many expect from a film that circles around the subject of love. Both characters come off as confident and full of themselves. The joy here is getting to know the insecurities beneath the facade and watching them learn more about themselves along with the viewer. Certainly worth a watch if only to see love told a little differently.

I really liked these actors, but the characters they play in this film were very unlikeable. I have no objections to watching stories about flawed characters, but the appalling unethical behaviour of Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal) is frustratingly portrayed as light charming comic relief. This made the film for me very unsatisfying. The "supposed" social commentary about the ethics of pharmaceutical companies and social impacts resulting from the lack of universal health care in the States was very poorly done... but it least it was done to some degree. Health care and lack of it is such an important political issue in the States, it has enormous welfare and productivity implications but it very, very rarely rates a passing mention in American film? However badly done, tackling what appears to be a taboo subject is the only nice thing I can say about this film.

I came into this with a mind set that it was a funny film - which it is in places - beautiful story, made me cry - very heart warming - shows love can conquer all. My hubby enjoyed it too (Anne Hathaway in the nude was probably more his thing though : ) Well worth watching.

This was wonderful - enough emotion and "lurve" for a female, but not overplayed, and enough funny bits for the male side of the watching team - well, for both of us actually. Hathaway and Gyllenhaal perfect. We really loved this.

Its such a shame that the lovely Anne Hathaway felt the need to break away from her sweet, demure romantic lead mould. Way too much gratutious nudity and a trite storyline. Very dissapointing. Give me Becoming Jane, The devil wears Prada and Get smart anyday.

Just goes to show what having a leading pair of actors with chemistry can do for a movie. Gyllenhaal and Hathaway make the film sparkle more than it otherwise would have, and actually make you care, which in movies of this ilk is a really rare phenomena.

This movie was different to what I'd expected. I thought it was about people getting drunk, taking drugs and having sex with different people. Thankfully this was not the case. A good story line with things happening that you don't expect. Open's the eyes to Parkinson's disease and the affects on people's lives. Good drama movie.

Beautiful love story about a sales rep who falls in love with a girl with Parkinson's. Provides great insight into how people cope with the disease and also shows a bit about the origin of Viagara . Great chick flick for the guys with lots of nudity and a few sex scenes showing a topless Anne Hathaway.

I didnt mind this movie, it was watchable and not a bad storyline, but the amount of nude love scenes was way over the top and it would have been a better movie without so much nudity.
Anne Hathaway talks way too much in it, that I didnt mind if I made a coffe and missed part of whatever she was saying as she had way too much dialogue

Quite funny, Maggie was played really well as so was Jamie, I haven't really heard much of Jake Gyllenhaal but Anne Hathaway I have and yes well played. Well worth the watch especially for those romantic type people.

Wonderful performances by both the leads and the supporting cast. Nice to see Anne Hathaway stepping away from the roles she normally plays and portraying something dark and serious for a change. I think the negative reactions to her acting are more to do with the script - which had some weak points - than the performance - which was excellent.

I'm not a big fan of Ann Hathaway and am rather used to her being in flakey roles. This movie couldn't seem to decide what it was. Started out a romantic comedy and went in a downward, negative heavy spiral. Jake G shone, but I felt awkward watching Ann tackle this deeper role.

There was so much more to this movie than I thought there was going to be, a love story between a beautiful young girl trying to come to terms with having Parkinsons Desease and a competetive drug company rep trying to live up to his family's expectations. A movie about accepting lifes challenges and opportunities and 'growing up'.
Thought there was too much nudity that distracted from the good storyline and was there only for shock value and cheapened an otherwise, very good evenings viewing.

This was a disappointing movie. I had wanted to see it in the cinemas because the previews looked funny, but missed out so decided to get the DVD. The plot was unbelievable and the acting was suprisingly ordinary.

I loved this movie. Whilst it is pitched as a comedy, and it is very funny in parts, it is so much more. It is sensitive, touching and endearing. The two young characters face the reality of what a disese like Parkinson's will mean for their future whilst trying to live in the now. The script and characters like the male characters young brother provides some much needed comic relief so it is not a heavy movie to watch although the subject matter is very serious. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, it was okay. Better than your average rom com. Some interesting ideas about drug companies and living with medical conditions were touched upon but not in a particularly deep way. Set in 1996 so it could link with the release of Viagra but no real effort was made to make it look like 1996 (perhaps it's just too recent for anyone to care). Bothered me, though! No one was wearing Wayfarers in the mid-90s, least of all a hotshot drug rep with tickets on himself. He should have been wearing awful neon wrap-arounds with mirror lenses, but I guess that would have spoiled his pretty face. And Praise You did not come out till the late 90s, thank you very much. These are just two of many examples.

The acting is flawless and the story was interesting. I loved the soundtrack the most there are a lot of great nineties hits in this movie which help to set the time frame. Jake and Anne are both pretty nice to look at too so there is plenty of eye candy.

Was a great insight into those living with Parkinson's Anne deserves credit for her portrayal.
Was laugh out loud moments; and teary moments too.
