Yes its Cheap and In many ways generic for a Brit Rom Com but I still loved it. Dunno why. Ive watched it 3 or 4 times. I mean its Very Very "Hollywood" yet equally British (Real) which is a great Paradox and I think THAT is what makes it so loveable. Not everyone has a happy ending and yet it is so beautiful and perfect... like love?

A very feel-good movie, a romantic comedy (with lots of laughs), a large number of various types of romance, quite a lot of spoofing, some good social criticism thrown in for good luck, everything from the silliest to the very serious. A film that does not shy away from expressing emotion. I particularly enjoyed the experiences of the brand new British Prime Minister, who plays a very prominent role; and of the little 12-year-old boy who has a crush on a schoolgirl in his class. All in all, a film worth watching, plenty of ???coarse language??? (giving it a real-life feel), and the occasional tear and the frequent laugh. Highly recommended.

This is such a great movie. I have seen it a few times on TV and I never get tired of watching it. The stories are all connected somehow. It's a romantic movie with out being too over the top. The characters are real. It's actually quite a long movie at 135 mins, but its always great to watch :)

What's not to like about it ? - one of my most favourite films ever. Hilarious cast, realistic plots, tear-jerker, very romantic.....superbly written, well filmed, terrifically cast....a MUST see. There's something seriously wrong with you if you don't appreciate this film....

Great movie. I haven't seen 4 Weddings and a Funeral so I have no comparison... I thought the stories were well presented, it wasn't confusing to follow and the performances were brilliant. It made me laugh, cry and hope for true love, I could watch it over and over again.

This is one of my all time favourite movies. When there is so much talk of terrorism, bad politics and suffering in the world this movie gives you a sense of hope. It shows us that there are millions of lives going on around us every day each with their own trials and happinesses. It illustrates to us that people are kind to each other every day, that there is a lot of positive things going on all the time. Not just negative things. It really is a feel good movie that will make you laugh and make u cry. The message behind this move?.. All we need to do is look and we will see that LOVE actually is all around us!!

I found this movie to be surprisingly entertaining. It's not really a typical romace movie, the curve balls thrown gives an interesting and surprising edge to the film.
I would say it's a perfect watch for a mindless afternoon in.

Much better than expected, and a lot more complex too. There are numerous stories intertwining, and most - but not all - make sense in the end. However, some don't seem to go anywhere, which is a disppointment - and perhaps these could have been left out, as the whol movie is a bit too long. But overall very enjoyable, a good mix of comedy, joy and sadness. A bit like love, actually!

We've never been huge fans of romantic comedy so this movie came as quite a suprise. It has the same formula as most films in this genre, unrequited love etc, but the Brits seem to do a much better job than their American counterparts. A great cast pulled off this "same old" very nicely and we highly recommend it.
