Stacy Peralta (John Robinson, Elephant), Tony Alva (Victor Rasuk, Raising Victor Vargas) and Jay Adams (Emile Hirsch, The Girl Next Door) are the Z-Boys, a bunch of nobodies until they create a new style of skateboarding that becomes a worldwide phenomenon. But when their hobby becomes a business, the success shreds their friendship. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke (thirteen) and written by Stacy Peralta, Lords of Dogtown is "...a dazzling daredevil ride." (Peter Travers, ROLLING STONE)

A fantastic story of these seminal and iconic skateboarders. Alva, Peralta and Hawke were such a massive part of so many young people's lives and this is an excellent journey through their younger years. A very enjoyable movie with Heath Ledger the engaging actor that he continued to be.

The only thing that keeps you interested is hoping it will get better. The ending is better than the entire movie.
