Perhaps not quite as exciting as the first movie, but nevertheless well worth viewing. The special effects and cinematography are still fantastic!

Totally captivating, it swept me up and carried me away, and for someone who doesn't usually take to fantasy films, a story that kept me wanting more. I haven't read the books but I'm sure Mr Tolkein would have been pleased.

Part two of this Epic Trilogy, takes off right where Fellowship left off sets the scene more with Frodo and Sam and their quest to rid the world of the ring. A must see as great as the first movie. Awesome.

Brilliant all round, I haven't read the books yets, so was lost in following bits of the story, but cannot fault it, I have to read the books to understand it all, but regardless of the book, I think this is a fantastic adaptation that will be unforgetable and unconquerable

I found it tedious and pointless. Having said that, the special effects were fabulous, but I felt the plot was severely lacking. It was always obvious what was going to happen and it took a lot longer than it needed to.

This movie is better than the first one but again it's very long & quite violent & dark in places so not a good choice for the younger kids.

It got a bit dark and boring at times. No where near as good as "Fellowship". I'm looking forward to seeing the Return of the King.
