This is not a family movie. It is banned in our house and I don't appreciate getting it come in the mail without firstly checking to make sure it is what we wanted. this movie is far fetched and should not be viewed without adults there.

The best film trilogy in history! This 3rd film was the ultimate, in your face impact! Simply breathtaking in a truly wonderful masterpiece. You don't have to be a fantasy fan to like LOTR. Its presented itself as a raw and realistic way to make you believe that it was a true story. This is an epic battle between good and evil. Everything was so authentic and pure from the detail of the characters to the magnificent locations. Its not to be missed and its nothing like the magic of Harry Potter.

what can i say... it's a classic. is a bit long of course, but not so you notice or mind. just as good as the others and very watchable even if you're like me and don't like/bother to read the books.

One of the greatest films of all time. Has it all - action, adventure, drama, romance, inspiration, intensity, comedy and keeps your attention over 3 hours. I wish there were more films like this!

This was an excellent movie. The graphics were very good, the sound and visual effects extremely well done. The battle scenes were longer than necessary, but I needed a coffee break, so used that time.

Stupid story? Over rated? What the>? Return of the King won 12 Academy Awards which is equal to cinematic history. The film came 7th as one of the best movies ever from a magazine promotion within 50,000 people who voted for their best movie. This is the greatest epic film- good vs. evil and there is a lot to it about the importance of our human qualities as it expresses the greater urgency in defeating evil once and for all. It contains all the elements of the human condition; courage, loyalty, sacrifice, love, duty, fear, death, hunger and pain. It is an ultimate film to the ultimate trilogy, it is certainly not to be missed!

Finally, since the first movie came out, the adventure of the best story in the world The Lord Of The Rings comes to an end. This is the best non comedy movie I have even seen. The Return Of The King was brilliant, I got really bored and creeped out but alot of the Frodo scenes but the wars and relationships were a masterpiece! I was so so upset that it was over, no more! Brilliant!

When the first film's credits rolled, the one complaint made by the primary audience (ie the literate) was that it was not long enough. This one is overlong, takes far too long to go anywhere, and deprives its story of all meaning. A true example of how low Hollywood can go in pursuit of the almighty dollar.

Part three of this Epic Trilogy, takes off right where Two Towers left off. Sets the scene more with Frodo and Sam and their quest to rid the world of the ring. The last and best. Awesome.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is simply one of the greatest stories ever written and it is very rare when the movies live up to all expectations. It is fantasy at it's best and unlike the Harry Potter series the acting is absolutely brilliant. If you haven't read the books yet it is still worthwhile as it actually enhances the movies even more. Some people don't get these movies and that is fine but when the same people rate The Fast and the Furious as just awesome, I need not say anymore. Open up your minds and let your imagination take you to another world, the world of the Hobbits, the Elves, Dwarfs and of course men, in a classic good versus evil tale.

For die hard fans, the best rating "LOR: Return of the King " can get is "Excellent". As Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) has said, once you've seen the uncut extended version, you'll never go back to this marketed version again. The extended version of the trilogy, however, deserves the rating "Not to be missed".

Excelent acting and casting, I still don't understand the ending - even though my brother has explained it to me and will definately need and would love to rewatch this movie over and again - an ALl time classic that will never ever truly die and last through the ages - I don't believe anything could ever top this adaptation in years to come - Well done all in the making of this movie.

While this is a classic movie at times the special effects which have to be the best ever produced in a movie tend to overwhelm the storyline. While seeing the first two in the trilogy isnt mandatory it will make picking up the storyline easier. Overall a movie that deserved its blockbuster status.

I really am in awe of the Lord of the Rings movies. Even though they are long, I could have sat there and watched another 3 hours. The actors are superb, the vision Peter Jackson has is amazing. The fantasy world of middle earth is so entertaining, you just get sucked up into the movie as you watch. Good on them for all the hard work they all put in. One of my all time movie favs.
