A good thriller with some twists and turns. McConaughey did an excellent job as the sleazy lawyer who finds he's no longer in control of his world. I thought there were a few holes in the plot, but overall a great watch. 7.5/10

Thoroughly enjoyed this Blu Ray and well acted all round. There are some surprising plot twists that keep you guessing right till the end. I intend to rewatch it. Some people were critical of Ryan Phillipe but same old story - handsome actor, they've got to bring him down with negative comments. He was almost a mirror of his mother's character and cool as a cucumber no matter what accusations were made he had to protect the family fortune and his $600k per annum way of life. Best role for Matthew since Time to KIll and he is truly better as the drama actor. Good to see Matthew playing bookends with Josh Lucas @ the courtroom bar with their similar looks. And LA (its highways and byways) have never looked so good as the dirty crime city and drug capital since Chinatown.
