Welcome to the Court of Louis XVI in the fabulous Palace of Versailles, France. Outside the gates, the peasants are on the verge of revolting (already well past disgusting), whilst inside, the aristocracy are gossiping, conspiring and powdering.
At the centre of all the decadent intrigue are the Comtesse de Vache (Jennifer Saunders) and her all-knowing maid Lisette (Dawn French). In their own inimitable, irreverent style, our devious duo stir up half a dozen hilarious helpings of historic hysterics and heinous hairdos.

Vintage French and Saunders - I can't remember this being on Australian TV. but I loved the silliness and the costumes. The two work so well together, it's hard to tell who steals the show. I think it's perfect for both.
