But airplanes, weather and fate leave Anna stranded on the other side of Ireland, and she must enlist the help of handsome and surly Declan (Matthew Goode) to get her across the country. Love this movie. Yes, it's predictable and cheesy, but easy to watch, the characters are likable and it has a happy ending. Everything you need for a couple of good hours entertainment

A meeting of sofisticated America with "backward" but endearing Ireland with a prerdictable ending. Lots of fun.

Very sweet movie, with a nice message about finding something real, while chasing something that glitters but has no substance.

I saw the trailer for this on another DVD and thought my wife would enjoy it so I rented it for her. She has watched it twice and has requested her own for Christmas. In her words, "It's the ultimate chick-flick." She gives it five stars.

Story line was typical and the chemistry between the two main stars was practically non existent. Wouldn't recommend this movie.

Really liked this one. Yep, it's pretty predictable but is a fun, lighthearted film. No sex or swearing so ideal for family viewing. Nice to see a movie that actually lives up to the PG rating. Some really beautiful scenes of Ireland. I'd watch it again.

Too formulaic and the characters weren't very likable. There were a couple of slapstick parts that had me laughing out loud but I think I spent more time yelling at the characters than laughing

Predictable, funny and the kind of movie to watch on a date night. Grab a blanket and a packet of tim tams, get ready for a funny but dark Irishman charm a control freak American who needs to learn to lighten up!

What a pleasant surprise! A well-written rom-com set in the beautiful landscapes of Ireland. Matthew Goode was the real stand out, really nailing the Irish comic wit and was a completely lovable character. Definitely recommend for a girls night in by the fire in winter (or even with your partner- my boyfriend was surprised to find that he also really enjoyed it!).

Was pleasantly surprised with this simple story set in spectacular Irish scenery. I loved the facial expressions of Amy and the interaction with Matthew. Now, I am a bloke who enjoys all genres of film and story telling and would say to anyone reading this is..."simply go for the ride" beautiful movie worth watching.

A great feel-good romantic comedy. Used all the emotions. Amy Adams is one of my favourite actresses. This is one to add to your DVD collection.

Without Amy Adams - this film would be a disaster. I love her so i'm biased, so the film rates just marginally better than a complete train wreck.

I'm a big fan of romantic comedies and I really enjoyed this movie. Matthew Goode is easy on the eye. He was in another of my favourite movies Chasing Liberty with Mandy Moore.

I loved this movie, yes, it's not "Gone with the Wind" but it is a simple beautiful love story that is enjoyable for that reason alone. Sometimes it's nice when it's just not so complicated. Characters are adorable, especially the Irish lad, he just so gorgeous. Irish landscapes are a bonus too. Guys beware, it's a chick flick!

Definately a romantic comedy with the usual 'girl meets boy, don't like each other and of course end up falling in love' but with the added bonus of some beautiful scenes of Ireland, if you don't expect too much you will enjoy it for what it is a light, funny 'chick flix', excellent for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Nice movie and fun story, if not rather predictable! Some polishing up of the storyline and some snappier funny moments would have given it an extra star! Not one to write home about but still a nice film for a rainy afternoon. Hmmmm.....and enjoyed watching Matthew Goode!

I really enjoyed this film. The main characters were great and it was a nice fun flick. Yes there are some silly parts, however it is a nice little rom com with some lovely shots of the coutry side. Great for a quiet night in.

This is TERRIBLE! Don't do it to yourself, you could spend 90 minutes in the toilet and you'd look back on that time as better spent than if you watch this absolute t**d. I mean, I'm all for a cheesy rom-com and if Matthew Goode is in it then all the better (such a dreamboat in Match Point), and Amy Adams is a likeable actor. But they've got NOTHING to work with here - it's a total DUD of a script, I swear. The characters are paper thin, the plot is tedious, no drama, no comedy. Oh I hated this, and I saw it on a plane where I'm usually content to watch any old junk. Even on a time-sucker of a 24 hour flight I felt robbed of the time I spent watching this atrocity. Ugh, it's awful. AWFUL!
