The Last Trapper is the story of Norman Winther - one irreducible soul who still abides by the old philosophy of man living at one with nature, trapping animals in the Canadian Yukon. Part documentary and part re-enactment, this exquisitely shot film from the director of Microcosmos and Travelling Birds takes the viewer right into the breathtaking landscape of the Rockies, and the harsh existence lived by one of its few remaining trappers.

beautiful documentary and beautiful scenery, played it several times before returning.

Wonderful and believable story with beautiful scenery. I can't see anyone giving less than 4 stars for this one. Only after seeing the credits at the end did I realise all the voices were overdubbed in English. It was so well done.
