This movie in terms of Cinematography is one of the best I've ever seen. I feel that the acting was good, the story was good, and everything else was perfect. This is an example of a fine film, and I would put it in my top 20.

The story line was good, a bit draggedout in parts, but nothing could have been deleted. It is 50-odd years cramped in a movie. I watched it till the end, and felt very sorry for the emperor. Also it was clear the ironyof how humans keep on glorifying other humans to the detriment of the common people...

Lovely film, interesting how a life of a young person lived, must of been very lonely. However, the film was a bit long not a lot of action. I was quite dissappointed that it did not have Sub-title for people like me with Hearing Impairment and felt if I missed most of the plot of what was happening had to asked Hubbie what was said etc!

Wonderful sets and great employment of extras. Maybe a bit too much of the pomp and circumstance but highly enjoyable. Good acting and direction.
