Littlefoot has witnessed an amazing event: a "stone of cold fire" that blazed through the night sky and landed somewhere in the Smoking Mountains. Unfortunately, he is the only one who saw it and no one believes his story. Only Petrie's long lost Uncle Pterano offers encouragement, but his reasons for wanting to find the stone are worrisome. The stone is rumored to contain miraculous powers, and Pterano has big plans for those powers. After a thrilling adventure to find the stone, Littlefoot and his friends find the real power where it has always been--in their friendship.
