Typical (slightly quirky) movie from the Cohen brothers. Strong accents sometimes difficult to understand, I do regret I did not select English subtitles ON, and also I regret not seeing the original movie "The Ladykillers" before viewing this remake...Some very contrasting characters, good acting including from the cat and from the the painting on the wall, mild humour, over all deserves three stars. (Contains some extra feature which I still did not view but I intend to view it tonight.)

It was good seeing Tom Hanks in a more funny character. The movie was pretty funny and the end wasn't what you'd expect

Not one of the Coen Brothers best efforts, although it has its moments. Tom Hanks will forever wince when he looks back at his efforts, but in fairness, a lot of the problem was in the words some goose wrote for him.

The Coen Brother's "worst" movie is still better than just about anything else Tom Hanks has done recently. Fans of the Bro's won't be disappointed.

We absolutely loved this ....very quirky, black humour had us laughing out loud a lot. Tom Hanks is fantastic as a very smarmy con. Typically of the Coen brothers, the other characters are really strong and there's some great art direction.

A good attempt at a remake! Some lovely moments, and a stellar performance from Tom Hanks. We found some of the script unintelligible, but we were pleasantly surprised with this one. Do watch the original with Alistair Sim, and Peter Sellers first though!

Maybe I wasn't in the mood or maybe it was as slow as it felt. Shall I try to watch again? Maybe.

Very good, keeps you thinking in a way to the end with some funny parts as well. Very different role for Tom Hanks.

As a devout Coen brothers fan I was sadly disappointed in this outing. Hanks was just not the man for the job.

Some of the other reviews almost put me off it, but while a "strange" movie it was good humour around the 5 vastly different characters in their different approach to a robbery. You couldn't pick the ending and great acting by all including Tom Hanks.

Tom Hanks plays a very different role in this movie. I loved it and although it was a little predictable at the end, still very entertaining with lots of laughs.
